The marriage of Nancy Daniel and William M. Scott was 1 Oct 1814, so it's not the
Nancy b. ca 1802, d/o Chesley Daniel and Nancy Simms, if that's what you're
wondering (based on my saying that Nancy d/o Chisley didn't marry).
The surety on the 1814 marriage is Stephen Bedford, so it's possible or likely that
this Nancy is d/o John Daniel and Elizabeth Morton (Stephen Bedford would be Nancy's
brother-in-law). But it's not really proved, and it's compounded with the fact
that this Nancy's sister Pauline also md. a William Scott 15 Mar 1808. This Pauline
didn't die, so it's two different William Scotts. Add to it that there's
another Nancy Daniel marrying in Charlotte at this time, there are several different
Daniel lines in Charlotte, and that Stephen Bedford was in a lot of people's records,
so more proof is required.
Actually, I see you already have the info on these marriages in your file. Can you share
further info that helps prove this Nancy who md. William M. Scott is d/o John and
Elizabeth (Morton) Daniel? Thanks.
