Does anyone know what family this John Daniel belongs to?
Albemarle, VA Deed Book 14 pp 353-4, made 21 May 1803, recorded 2 September
1803. John Daniel of Orange County, to Reuben Lindsay of Albemarle County, 185
acres of land, lying partly in Orange and partly in Albemarle, purchased from
Reuben and Mary Foster Rucker by deed bearing date 7 September 1795. Bounded by
said Lindsay, Capt. Thomas Walker decd. and James G.Waddell. Witnessed by Jno.
Rogers, Jno. White Jr., James G. Waddell, R. B. Arbour and James Lindsay.
Orange County, VA Deed Book 11 pp 444-5. When John Daniel purchased the land on
7 September 1795, it was bounded by Waddell, Walker, Terrell and Johnson. There
were no witnesses to this deed. It was apparently done at the courthouse and
signed by Reubin Rucker and Mary Foster Rucker.
The Sparacios seem to have skipped over this deed and this John Daniel in their
book Pamunkey Neighbors of Orange County, Virginia.
