Trying to find information on James Daniel some say he was Born in Yorkshire,
England, Some say Virginia he married Nancy Belcher in Virginia, I need to
know if anyone can tell me who is parents were, After James Death his widow
and sons came to Floyd County, Kentucky where she married Samuel Sellards.
James is my fourth great-grandfather.
I know that but I also know what the Will of Ann DANIEL states, as I
also know what other Jefferson County records state. I did not send out
because I have not finished going through all of them. However, this
"James" was "James L. DANIEL" and 1850 Jefferson County, GA census records
This raises the question were there two James L. DANIEL or were they one
in the same persons. I do not know. I do know that James L. DANIEL of
Jefferson County, GA was living in District 48 of Jefferson County, GA in
1850 but he is gone from the 1860 Jefferson County, GA census -- only his
wife, Ann, really his second wife, remained and she was living by herself.
I think he died after 1850 and before 1860 but that is just a guess,
although there are other possibilities.
Since he is not my direct ancestor, it does not matter. It is his
brother, Robert W. DANIEL that is my great-grandfather and this "James" is
only be my Great Grand Uncle.
