Hi Julie,
From what I understand, if you transcribe from the original or
microfilm of
the original, you're OK. If you take the information from Lorriane
Cook
White's book, you'd need her written permission.

Can anyone tell me if the Barbour Collection & The Hale Collection
are
copyrighted? I would like to post the vitals of the Barbour Collection
on my web pages. From what I have read I am assuming that the original
barbour Collection published by Lucius Barbour would be ok to copy the
information from, but the more recent series published by Lorriane Cook
White, would not be - even though it would contain the same information?
So If I wanted to copy the information from the books published by
Lorriane Cook Whte, I would have to get permission from her/the
publisher even though they are public reords?
I'm sure this is more simple than I'm making it out to be, but I want to
be sure before I do all that work.
Thanks
Julie
