Hi Nancy,
At CyndisList you will find subscriptions to a couple of American
revolution discussion groups.

Scroll half way down the page and you'll find a 1776 and AmericanRev-L
discussion list. Click on link to find out how to subscribe (these are free
subscriptions, but donations to rootsweb or other sponsors are encouraged).
The AmericanRev-L had a very interesting series, about 6 months ago of
articles on General Sullivan's advance in NY state to Genessee. I beleive I
saw mention of a Col. Mead in this series. These series were based on
extracts from the actual journals of Gen Sullivan and some American
Officers.
I posted a series from "Butler's Rangers" by E. Cruishank, which
represented the British account of Sullivan's advance.
Let me know if you are interested in the series, both American and British
and I'll dig them out and send them along (both were lengthy).
Yours truly
Murray McCombs
PS Would you have any JANE GORDON's in your family tree around this time or
just before (aunt or sister)??
