Hello, I am hoping that someone will either recognize the name or maybe have
an old year book that might give me some idea as to where to look. My
grandmother was rather eccentric. My dad never really cared or listened to
old family stories. Her name was ALICE LaValley here is what I do know. She
had a sister named Blanch. When she married my grandfather (also deceased)
it is said that they where high school sweethearts he was Alfred Overton.
That was in Waterbury Connecticutt. Her birthdate is November 19 1907 she
died July 16 1988 in Hemit Calif. I have a copy of her death certificate no
lead there. Her social security number was listed as being issued in New
York. But when I sent for copies S.S. said they could not locate original
application! She always talked about being French and wanted us to call her
"mamier" ( not sure of that spelling sorry). Her mothers name was believed
to be ADALAIDE PERRAULT ( again I may have spelling wrong. She talked a lot
about different things but well lets say she was very inventive. She married
my step grandfather when I was very young ANTON STAM and they lived in San
Francisco for several years. Any ideas as to where to go with this? Any help
would be appreciated. Julie skeeter(a)televar.com
