:)

Subject: [CTGEN] REDIRECT/AUP
Hi, Grace
I'm sorry to be so confusing.
What I did...and still exists, is currently at:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ctfairfi
(for example)
See? I linked the NEW site from the home page for Fairfield County.
>From the gentleman who wrote me, I violated/am violating their user
>agreement.
I wouldn't call it a "redirect" but apparently, it is.
So, when I queried the help desk, they suggested I reload all the data
back into the old site and make an announcement, not a link that it had
moved.
That seems confusing for the visitor--and it seems that we've been over at
CTGenWeb.org long enough that I'll just dump the directory
on Rootsweb.Ancestry, thank them again for their years of free space, and
be gone.
Does this make it more understandable?
I hope so.
Maureen,
can you clarify? Do you mean we can't link to any websites that originate
from rootsweb?
