Hello all, I guess I probably should speak up. My name is Jim Rothgeb, and I, and a few
others started this thing call the USGenweb, my contribution was to put together the
Connecticut site and assist in Mass. I had to get out when several things hit me at once
that made things rather difficult to keep up, the biggest was losing my job after nineteen
years with the power company, that is when I when I had to go on the road as a contractor.
George Waller was nice enough to take over at that point, and has done a wonder full job.
At this stage in my life things are finally starting to slow down, and that has given me
an opportunity to give back again. I volunteer with the local historical society, and yes
I do their web work, I have joined the Sons of The American Revolution and kept my hand in
genealogy, my other love. I now work for the water company and hope to stay until I
retire, my background is electronics and computers, most of it being in nuclear. I have
been
married to the same woman for 36 years, have two grown daughters and live in Old
Saybrook, Connecticut.
