Hi, Deb!
Like your Hampton site very much. Thought I would jump in and say I
only spotted one link (may be others) on your site needing change
because of the recent changes in addresses of the CTGenWeb site and
the USGenWeb archives site. That one is to the Windham County
archives on your Links page.

change??? Anything that has rootsweb in the link?? I have no clue what to
do....
No, do not change everything that has rootsweb in the address for
many things are still on rootsweb. Change only the addresses for the
CTGenWeb site and for anything connected to the USGenWeb archives.
1. The old address for CTGenWeb on rootsweb was:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ctgenweb/
or:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ctgenweb/
The CTGenWeb state site like many other USGenWeb states, counties and
towns has moved off of RootsWeb. The new address for the state site is now:
http://www.ctgenweb.org.
-----------
2. The recent change according to the posting of George concerns the
national and state archives:
http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/BOARD/2008-04/1207876515
The USGenWeb national archives address has changed from:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~usgenweb
to
http://usgwarchives.org/
Now all the states and counties archives are at the new address. I
note you have a link on your Hampton Links page:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ctchampt/links.html
to the Windham Co Archives with the address of:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~usgenweb/ct/windham.html
That needs to be changed to:
http://www.usgwarchives.org/ct/windham.html
To sum up **only** the addresses to the CT state site and to the
national/state/county archives need to change at this time per the
recent state announcements on [CTGEN] mailing list. ***However*** if
you have links to other rootsweb sites do check them out for many
towns and counties as well as other genealogy related sites are
moving off of RootsWeb. I have moved all my USGenWeb sites off of RootsWeb.

USGW Windham, CT -
