Hi, Everyone,
A few days ago, I brought up the subject of the new
Ancestry.Com message
boards and asked how other CTGenWeb County Coordinators had decided to
handle it. Has anyone actually adopted a board under the new system?
I'm curious about whether an "adopted" board will link back to the
county site as the old GenConnect boards did.
Unless something happens before the July 23rd deadline to change my
mind, I am *not* going to "re-adopt" any of my GenConnect boards. I
have contacted most of the volunteers who have posted substantial
information in actual document transcriptions, and they have given me
consent to duplicate the records on site. That's half the battle! In
the future, I am giving researchers the option to post directly to a
message board which will be used *only* as a temporary holding area
until I can cut and paste and index on the actual web site. I'd still
be very interested in how others of you are deciding to proceed.
