AHSCRAFT/ASCRAFT/ASHCROFTE, John and Hannah OSBORNE; 12 Sept 1670,
Stonington CT.
This means that the marriage occured on this date, and records are found in
Stonington.
For good data on the arrivals in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630, try this
source:
www.maryandjohn1630.com
It is the homepage for the Mary & John Clearinghouse. This ship was the
first of the Winthrop Fleet to arrive. They DO NOT have their data on line.
All material is either purchased by researcher or found at a good Genealogy

* Borroughs,Robert: came on Arabella 1630 [Stiles His of
Wethersfield,168]
> Supposedly, Robert married Mrs. Mary Ireland.
1: Was she the mother of John Burrows that was born in 1642?
2. Has anyone found her maiden name - Mary ?? who married Samuel Ireland
in
England?
Reply:
Robert BURROUGHS (any spelling) does NOT appear in "The Great Migration
Begins 1620-1633 by Anderson; also does NOT appear in the next set of
volumes, for 1634-35.
I would check Stiles sources carefully, since many of the CT settlers
attributed to the Winthrop Fleet (1630) did NOT arrive before 1636.
NEM (above), page 123 shows
BURROUGHS, Robert (-1682) & first wife, Mary (IRELAND) (- Dec 1672), widow
of Samuel; birth rec. 1642, Wethersfield CT.
Robert is also shown as marrying w2) unnamed on 17 Jun 1673 in Wethersfield.
On page 411 under Samuel IRELAND (1603-1639) & Mary ------- (1605-1672)
with birth rec. 1633, 1635 in Wethersfield CT.
Note: Wethersfield was not founded this early, so this must mean the births
were recorded in Wethersfield records as occuring in those years, but NOT
birth IN that location.
Suggest you look at the New England Marriages by Torrey since there are
quite a few John's, and the date shown below does NOT match.
