I'm here, too. I think the reason it's been a quiet list is that we decided
last year...or the year before that it would be just for the volunteers of
the CTGenWeb Project. I guess we never had much to say, huh? ;-)
I can't say I'm really researching any of my CT families at this point,
although I'm still working on the group who migrated from Stonington CT to
NY and on to northern Illinois. Occasionally I find a descendant or a piece
of the puzzle when I least expect it.
Before Christmas I embarked on a project that proved to be *very* rewarding.
Our branch of the family in the southeast had accumulated quite a few old
family photographs, and I offered to scan them and create a free CD for any
cousins who were interested. I asked them to send me any they might have
that were particularly special and should be included. It was like opening
the flood gates! I received e-mailed and snail mailed photos from cousins
in OR, NY, PA, VA, TX, FL and TN, and ended up with over 250 great ones on
the CD! Not only that, but I have at least a good e-mail relationship with
a lot of cousins I have never met or have hardly known. If the original
photos are ever destroyed, there will be lots of copies out there.
Cheers!

My surnames in Greenwich, Fairfield Co. CT, are:
ANDERSON, BOSCH/BUSH, FERRIS, FEAKE, FROST, GRAY, HARDY, HOBBIE, HOLMES,
HOYT, HUSTED/HEUSTIS, KNAPP, KILVEY, LYON, LOCKWOOD, MILLS, MEAD, NORMAN,
PALMER, POTTER (BROWN?), RUNDLE, SMITH (2), WATERBURY.
Through the Quaker SLOCUM family of MA/RI to Duchess Co. NY, I have the
Rhinevault family. I believe that my Lucy Rhinevault who m. Solomon
SLOCUM,
may be the daughter of William Reinwald/Rhinevault/Rinevault and
Mary
Spencer, a Rev. War Pensioner. They resided in Patterson, NY to New
Fairfield, Fairfield Co. CT. William was a Hessian soldier from
Frankfurt/Main.
