Hey, Everyone,
Linda-Jeanne Dolby is no longer with the CTGenWeb Project, and I am working on
constructing all new pages sites for Litchfield County and New Haven County on the
CTGenWeb domain. The beginning I feel sure that when they are in good shape, we'll be
able to find two new volunteers to act as County Coordinators. I'll act as interim
until then. Here are the new addresses, and I will make an announcement when they are
really ready for primetime:
Litchfield County -

New Haven County -

My greatest concern right now is data that that was intended for the CTGenWeb Project has
ended up on outside sites with broken links, some linking to the old Geocities sites, some
to AngelFire, and some to personal genealogy sites. This dilemma is not unique to
CTGenWeb. Circumstances change, and people become overwhelmed with "real life."
If you are a town coordinator with your sites on outside domains, would you consider
moving the town sites to the CTGenWeb domain, OR, allow us to mirror it on the CTGenWeb
domain? Unfortunately, we have a lot of old pages floating around out there. We've
confirmed that some people have died, and we suspect that others have health issues that
may have caused them to fall off the radar. Unfortunately, we have slammed the door to
contributions.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I host counties in several states, and the
LAST thing I would want is for all of my work to disappear. It is meant to be a PERMANENT
CONTRIBUTION
