Hi,
A few thoughts regarding your inquiry.
One thing that could help all volunteers is to have a
subdomain and forwarding service set up through your main
site so we could use links such as
http://ashford.ctgenweb.com or
http://cowindham-windham.ctgenweb.org http://eastford-cowidham.ctgenweb.org
or something along those lines that would go to the
town/county current site host/url.
It would be uniform in structure and reduce the ever
changing links to sites which usually have to get changed in
each and every instance on a site. If people contact you or
whoever does the State /County sites with updates. And CC/SC
wouldn't have to bother with repeated e-mails about bad
links to Town-County sites.
Also, "Roll Call" in subject lines have come to mean "Name
your Surnames" to me so usually get tossed in the trash bin.
I also don't use other TC's names because the links to the
Towns are there and the TC can list their name any way they
choose on their Town sites. When I get new information, it's
added so everything I have is on-line.
Thanks,
DP

Hi, Everybody!
I will be updating membership information this month.
If you could send a message to me directly, or respond to
this message on the list, I would appreciate it. I
still feel that it's healthier for our small state to have
each County Coordinator to have no more than two
counties. If you have one county, and have time for
another, New Haven and Hartford are available.
Hartford is a very "beefy" well developed county site dating
back to 1996. It needs some updating, but contains tons of
data.
New Haven had several CCs over the years, and sort of
languished. I have cleaned it up and updated links,
and it is ready for an enthusiastic coordinator. I will make
an announcement on the State Coordinator list for both
counties. I just wanted to give you all first dibs. :-)
If you are interested, or if you have any ideas or concerns
you'd like to discuss, send me an email, or post to this
list.
Thanks for everything.
