I am hoping someone can help with Samuel Pennoyer's wife who was listed ast Mary E in census records. Per the census Samuel was born in 1844 and Mary E. was born in 1855. Both stated they were born in Connecticut. Samuel was the son of Lewis Pennoyer (B 1803) and I believe that Lewis' father was Samuel Pennoyer. Would anyone know if Samuel is Isaac's father? Mary E stated that her mother was born in New York and her father in Connecticut. Mary was still alive in the 1930 census of New Canaan. They had three children that I know of, Louis Clifton, Harry Light and Mary Alice. There are two questions I have...Does anyone know Mary E's maiden name and secondly is there an index to deaths in Fairfield county where I could find out when Mary E died. I am hoping that her death certificate would show who her parents were. Also would anyone have any additional information on this family? Any help would be appreciated.
