Two years ago we had a big snow storm here in New Jersey. My roof
caved in on the attic. I had to move out. Everything went into
storage. I had lots of water damage , therefore I had lots of
repairs. One year fighting the insurance company and one year
rebuilding, now I am back living in my house. My computer is up and
running. Same e-mail address as before. Ruth Coleman Halajian

Is this Hill family connected to your Hill's?
I have very little info about my Hill's.
I recently found that they came to America from Ireland in 1824.
They settled in Warren Co. Oh.
The mother was Mary Hill
children: Jane Hill b. 1821 Ireland married Dr. Josiah Coleman. They moved from Oh. to Adams Co. Il. then to Nodaway Co. Mo.
Samuel Hill born 1819 Ireland - he married a Margaret. They came to Nodaway Co. Mo. to live for a while until Samuel died (I think it was suicide). Margaret moved back to Ohio with the small children after he died.
James born 1816 Ireland (I have no info on him)
Frances Hill born 1823 Ireland - (I have no info on her)
Martha Hill born 1825 in Warren Co. Oh. - She was the 2nd wife of Dr. Josiah Coleman. They lived in Nodaway Co. Mo.
I don't know who the father was but I believe he came a few months to America before the rest of the family. He later went back to Ireland to settle an estate and was lost at sea.
I think that the mother Mary probably gave the children to other people or sold them as indentured servants.
Mary Hill the mother may have come to Mo. also. She either settle in Nodaway or Andrew Co. Mo. I have seen a Joseph Hill connected to this family who also lived in Nodaway Co. Mo.
