Henry Coleman born about 1740 Pennsylvania. Married an Elizabeth
unknown. Needing a check of Revolutionary War records to see if I can
find out anything more about this man and
whether or not they had more than one son Philip married Ann
Kelly/Kelley. Was said Henry was a hatter which I assume was a hat
maker. Any help out there. Thanks
Hello
My great grandfather was James COLEMAN. He was born anywhere from 1881 to
1883 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. His father's name was James
according to his marriage record December 1, 1906 in Thornton. He married
Fanny HARLING (EAVES) born 1885 in Garstang. She was the daughter of Annie
EAVES who later married John HARLING. James was in WWI with the Canadian
Overseas Expeditionary Forces. (Did I get that right?)
I have looked into a James COLEMAN born about 1881 in Liverpool living at
102 Tatlock St however I don't know if this is my James because I think I
found them both listed in the 1901 census.
Family lore says that my 2nd great grandfather James died when my great
grandfather was very young. He eventually ended up in an orphanage where he
and at least 2 other boys were taken from around the age of 18. The boys
were ag laborers for a relative of Fanny HARLING which is where my great
grandparents met.
Their children Ann and John/Jack (my grandfather) were born in Thornton,
Lancashire, England 1907 and 1909. They came to Philadelphia, PA in 1910
where the remainder of their children Margaret, Joseph, Katherine, Patrick
and Francis were born in 1914, 1915, 1917, 1920 and 1922.
If anyone has any information to share or a possible connection I would
love to hear from you.
Happy hunting!
Ella
Need information on Henry and Elizabeth (unk) Coleman born circa 1740's.
Said Henry was a "hatter" by trade. They had one son that I know about
named Philip married
to one Ann Kelly/Kelley daughter of Nathan Kelly. Any information please
on this board or to: TABLEMTN(a)optimum.net
