According to "Marriages of some Virginia Residents 1607-1800" by Dorothy Ford Wulfeck
there are two Colemans l;isted that I woud appreciate any help with:
1. John Coleman, son of Sir James of Braxton Mango, Essex Co., England; sett, Fairfax Co., Va., 1640; m. ___Hawes of King William Co.
2. Richard Coleman, son of Henry, m. 1654, Rebecca Claubirn, prob. in Elizabeth City Co.
Does anyone know anything about "Sir James" or Henry??
Thank you,
Earl

Hello,
I haven't a clue as to whether or not there might be any connections
but seeing my parents hometown and the town where I was born pop up in
this information regarding the COLEMAN name, I thought I'd take a crack
at it. My paternal great grandfather, Spencer B. PARKER, born: 1859
in either Rankin or Smith County, Mississippi, died in 1930 in Oak
Grove, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana where my family had moved to just
shortly before that from Simpson County, Mississippi.
Spencer B. PARKER was married to Mrs. Rachael Moranda "Randa/Randi"
LEWIS BRIGHT who may have also either been married to a man named
COLEMAN before or after her marriage to John Wesley BRIGHT or her
marriage to Spencer B. PARKER. Rachael Moranda LEWIS and their
children were abandoned by John Wesley BRIGHT according to my
understanding and I have even suspected that she might not have
actually ever been divorced from him but just don't know. I have been
told that she married one or both of her known husbands under the name
of Rachael Moranda COLEMAN but don't even know whether that is correct
or not.
Rachael Moranda "Randa/Randi" LEWIS, born: abt. 1751 in Jones County,
Mississippi, was the daughter of Harriet ELLZEY, (d/o Mary COLLINS and
Evan ELLZEY of South Carolina who moved to Jones County, Mississippi,)
and John LEWIS, (son of Nancy COPELAND and Howell LEWIS, (Nancy
COPELAND was the daughter of Rachael TUCKER and Ripley COPELAND, Sr.,
(RS.))
One of Rachael Moranda LEWIS's sisters married into the PRINE family, I
believe.
Spencer B. PARKER was the son of Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER and Sarah
"Sally" JENNINGS, (daughter of Kitty EARLE and Bailey JENNINGS.)
My grandmother, Allie Artimissa PARKER, was the daughter of Spencer &
Rachael Moranda, and Allie was born in 1892 near Braxton, Simpson
County, Mississippi, and married James Martin "Jim" MYRICK, born: 1892
near Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, son of Harriet Katherine
"Hattie" HERRINGTON and Calvin Pierce "Callie" MYRICK, descended from
GRANTHAM, HERRINGTON, STUCKEY, DICKENS, and connecting to LOTT, BARLOW,
WATTS, and HATTEN.
If anyone knows anything about this COLEMAN connection for my Rachael
Moranda "Randa/Randi" LEWIS, I would be most grateful to hear about it.
In advance, I thank you.
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick-Barnett

Hello,
I haven't a clue as to whether or not there might be any connections
but seeing my parents hometown and the town where I was born pop up in
this information regarding the COLEMAN name, I thought I'd take a crack

Brenda, where did you live in MS and who were some of your
relatives? I was born and raised in MS. My older relatives lived
around Ware, Ackerman and in that area. One of my relatives was
J.P. Coleman who was the governor of MS during the 1950's. I am from
the Robert Coleman line. I also have Smith relatives. Ruth Coleman

Hello to all!
I happen to have maternal and paternal Colemans (not related to one
another).
I was interested to know who the Colemans are from Nebraska as I live in
Omaha. Maybe I can make a connection with them here.
I have not been able to firm up the Louisiana connection, but being
originally from Mississippi - isn't too far a leap.
Thanks!
Brenda Smith

Hi Angie,
I have my family listed on Find A Grave. My great-grandmother was

youngest
child of William Coleman born 1802 TN and 1. Sarah (Ogden) Coleman, who
married in Tattnall Co., Georgia.
We have a Coleman website at myfamily.com. Let me know if you would
like
to have an invitation.

Hello,
I haven't a clue as to whether or not there might be any connections
but seeing my parents hometown and the town where I was born pop up in
this information regarding the COLEMAN name, I thought I'd take a crack
