At this time I have nothing further, not sure if these are my people.
Just that I
have a Henry Coleman born 1745 Philadelphia Co PA went looking into land
deed/records for the mid-late 1700's and
came up with these two names. Need to
do further investigation into these two
individuals. Help please if anyone has
these individuals in their lineage.
Where did your Coleman's come from? Mine came from England & went to Illinois.

I used to have several and they were all lost by a flood along with
everything we owned..the ones I used to have were all different..and
this one is different yet.
I bet some were ambrotype or daugerrotypes...
This one is definitley metal...black with the image being brown..so not
sure if it actually is a tintype.

Ruth..I recognize your email addy..surely we must have corresponded
before and so we must be related. Although I must confess. The late
and great, Sheri Nicol was the only one who had my line down straight
and I since lost my information and can't seem to figure it out again..
My Robert S Coleman was born c. 1822 and lived in Campbell Co VA
removed to Carroll Co Va..married Amelia Gardner...and so I have
confused myself now as to his ancestry.
I have scanned this photo and put it online..I am not sure if it is a
tintype or something similar. I think the clothing style may give me
some clues as well. Deb

Hi Ruth & all. I'm free for a couple more months. If you scan your tintypes,
original size, I can try to restore them for you. Some of my friends try to
call me Rembrandt, I call my self Bent-rime.

A genealogist photographed the 19th. century, Union Cemetery, in Lexington, Ky., & post the pictures on the web. A judge decided, one couldn't post the grave stone pictures, unless they were of their family.
You can check for information on WLAP.Com radio station in Lexington, Ky., if you like.
