I'm looking for information for my ancestor, David Coleman born 1769 in
Surrey, North Carolina - died 03 Feb 1844. I am a decendent of his son,
Youngs Levi Coleman of Texas.
I am specifically looking for any documentation of this gentleman. Birth,
death, marriage, revolutionary or colony....ANYTHING.
Thank you in advance,

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mildred E. NELSON COLEMAN which was
taken at the Philips Studio in Corvallis, Oregon. The photograph appears to
have been taken in the early 1900's with Mildred appearing to be about 5
years old at the time the photograph was taken. In addition to her name,
someone has written "Mother" and "1895-1974" on the back of the photograph.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information
regarding Mildred and her family:
Mildred NELSON b. Sept 1896 in Benton Co., OR to parents Fred F. NELSON and
Ida May MARTIN (b. Oct 1870 in Benton Co., OR). Census records provide the
following:
1900 census of Monroe, OR:
James MARTIN, age 77, born Jun 1822, married 31 years, born Ireland, parents
born Ireland, to USA 1847, a Farmer
Mary MARTIN, wife, age 65, born Aug 1844, married 31 years, 2 children/2
living, born OH, parents born Ireland
Ida NELSON, dau, age 29, born Oct 1870, a widow, 1 child/1 living, born OR
Mildred NELSON, granddau, age 4, born Sept 1895, born OR, parents born OR
1910 census of Corvallis, OR:
Mary A. MARTIN, age 65, a widow, 2 children/2 living, born OH, parents born
Ireland, own income
Mildred NELSON, granddau, age 14, born OR, parents born OR
1910 census of Monroe, OR:
Klingen SMITH, age 38, married 1st 7 years, born IA, parents born IA, a
Farmer
Ida SMITH, wife, age 38, married 2nd 7 years, 2 children/2 living, born OR,
parents born Ireland/OH
James SMITH, son, age 5, born OR
Mildren NELSON, dau, age 14, born OR, parents born OR
I am hoping to locate someone from Mildred's family so that this wonderful
old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you
are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please
contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
Hello List,
I am stuck on Ephraim Coleman b. abt. 1797 Newington, New Hampshire. He was married to Jerusha Pickering. I think they had @ least 2 children; Jerusha & Rosamond. Although in the 1850 census there are 2 other names of Mary G. & Lydia A. I think Ephraim's father might have been Ephraim b. 1767, but I don't know for sure. & There are several death dates I haven't been able to find. I hope someone can help me w/ the Coleman's of that time period in Newington, Rockingham county, New Hampshire. Thank You, Laura from Michigan
Hi all,
Can anyone search the following census's for John Coleman, head of a family
of Margaret wife and at least a son James:
Alnwick Northumberland 1861
John age head about 35 a Wood Carver born Ireland
Margaret Wife about 22 born Scotland
James son about 6 born Scotland
Alnwick or Newcastle on Tyne 1871, 1881, 1891
I know that Margaret was a widow in the 1901 census of Newcastle, living
with James and his wife Sarah, Margaret was 62 but born in Newcastle? and
James 45.
James was my GGrandfather (mothers mothers father)
Thank you for any help.

I am so glad you enjoyed my site. I can not take credit it for it though. I
used "The Next Generation"
http://lythgoes.net/genealogy/software.php
I highly recomend it for a genealogy website. It is not the easiest to use
but once you get up and running it is great.

Kim:
I was just looking around through your website linked below. I must say I
am quite impressed.
I haven't done much for my family website because I wanted to figure out a
good design.
I am wondering if you designed your site yourself and programmed all the
multimedia stuff too or is that a service from your website provider or
what? Can you share that with me?
Thank you.
