Does anyone have a family of COLEMANs living at St George Hanover
Square, MSX, England?
Elinor COLEMAN, my 2xgreat-grandmother (also known as "Ellen" COLEMAN),
43yrs, a "seller of fish," at the workhouse there in the 1851 Census,
with her son, William COLEMAN, aged 9yrs, born at the workhouse.
The Census states Ellen was born at St George Hanover Square.
When I sent for William's birth certificate I discovered that William's
father was "Samuel STOCKMAN, plasterer" who I believe had died 2 years
earlier. Ellen called herself a widow in 1851, so presumably they had
been living together for some time.
I wonder if there were any other children besides William.
Does anyone have Elinor/Ellen's family in their Tree?
Cynthia (NZ)
I appreciate all the hard work you have put into this exchange. Unfortunately I did not see my ancestors on this. A Brickwall - I am looking for Elizabeth Coleman - 1661 Charles City, Virginia - married Robert Tucker - father is Robert Coleman - 1632 - Virginia? Any help would be appreciated.
