Marriage license found online was applied for in Oct 1830.
Family of Isaac and Rutha was found in Jackson Co., GA online
In the 1850 U.S. Census for the 45th Subdivision, pages 16A and B,
dated August 17, 1850:
Household 233
Name Age Sex Occupation BirthPlace Real Estate Value
Isaac 48 M Farmer GA $400
Rutha 43 F GA
Thomas P. 18 M Laborer GA
Sarah F. 16 F GA
Levi L. 14 M GA
Nancy M. 2 F GA
Artimisa C., twin 1 F GA
Margaret E., twin 1 F GA
There is a Salina Coleman listed with another family just above on page 16A:
Household 226:
John Pendergrass 72 M Farmer SC $3000
Jane Pendergrass 69 F SC
Salina Pendergrass 34 F
Frances J. Pendergrass 12 F GA attended school this year
Apling H. Pendergrass 11 M GA attended school this year
Salina Coleman 11 F GA attended school this year
John H. Coleman 9 M GA
So, Salina and John may be staying with their maternal grandparents to be
closer to school. Though John is not recorded as attending school yet, in
mid August it would be about time to start. The next household is also
Pendergrass: Edwin and Elizabeth C., ages 30 and 22. Edwin may be Rutha's
brother.
I did not find this family after that time. There was an Isaac Coleman,
age 69, in Cuthbert P O, p. 61, of Randolph Co., GA, born in GA. If this
were the same Isaac, then who was Martha Coleman, age 40 in 1870? The
children in the household were probably hers, but relationships to the
head of the house were not recorded in 1870.
I recently indexed the Colemans found in the U.S. Census in Georgia to 1880:

Did anyone have Coleman's come from England or Illinois?

Hi Wayne,
I set it up to share information found and it is a community website.
Users are welcome to discuss changes. Each page has a talk page where
discussions about changes and/or improvements can be discussed. There is
also a menu item for Coleman families. Users could possibly use this
section for discussion about different family lines etc. It is very
simple to change the menu if you have changes in mind.
I have entered a few items under Coleman Deaths; but have not finished
the formatting and I also entered some abstracts under Coleman Land
Records. I may change the abstracts to more of a timeline approach.
I have been an avid user of WeRelate since last December. My main
research is my Coker family study; but I am attempting to enter what I
have about my Coleman family line on the person and family pages on
WeRelate. While researching my line, I have accumulated data on other
Coleman's, and I wanted a place to share the data so I decided to set up
this site.
Any suggestions are most welcome. I am working on entering a few items
for several sections as an example to follow. I still have not finished
my template for the census pages yet, so that table is unfinished.
I patterned this site after the Gay Family Exchange on Rootsweb. The
difference in the two sites is that the one on Rootsweb has an
administrator who maintains the site and enters the data. The Coleman
Family Exchange will be administered by anyone who takes an active
interest and data may be entered by anyone.
I don't want people to send me the data to enter. I don't have the
time.
If you need help on how to enter the data, I will happy to give
assistance or if I am away one can ask questions ar the Watercooler on
the main page of WeRelate.
Wayne, I hope that I have not confused you even more. The genealogy wiki
is fairly new and it takes one awhile to adjust to the idea that the
pages are community pages and not "my" pages or "my" tree.

Beth,
Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. I think I understand better now that you've explained it. I would like to add some information about my branch of the Coleman family, and will put something together and take a shot at putting it on the page. Thanks for taking the initiative.

Beth,
I guess I'm not quite clear, what is the purpose of the WeRelate web page? Is it to share information found or information sought?

Hi,
Rephrasing my first sentence; I had help from numerous WeRelaters
without whom this site would still be in the idea only stage.
