My g grandfather was JOHN J. COLEMAN, born 1914 in Nelson county Virginia.
He migrated to Tennessee(county and place unknown). He married LAURANNIE
MCDONALD who was born 1820 in Tennessee. They had five children born in Tenn.
and my grandfather was born in Sugar Grove, Butler county, Ky. in 1857, his
name was Berry Coleman. I am searching for the parents of JOHN J. COLEMAN.
Any help will be appreciated. HAYS COLEMAN wildcatter3(a)aol.com

Hello listers, This is the first time I've seen SMITH'S in the COLEMAN line.
My great-uncle, was Joseph Smith Coleman (b.1838 in Bedford Co TN) I have no
idea where the SMITH came from. His parents were Obediah COLEMAN,b.1811.and
Carmella Lucinda WILLIFORD. Joseph had two older brothers, Thomas Fletcher
COLEMAN b.1836(my line)and Will, b. 1834.I have info. on Thomas, Joseph and
Lucinda. Would welcome hearing from anyone researching these Coleman's /
Williford's. Peace, Barb in FL

My 7th great grandparents are Frances Coleman and John Graves. John was born in Gloucester Co., Va. He and Frances Coleman lived in Spotsylvania and Culpeper Counties in Virginia. I think they died in the 1770's. I descend from their son James Graves and wife Sarah unknown who died in Culpeper County, Va. James died in 1781.
In looking through data I have seen the names of Robert, John and Spilsbe Coleman. They seem to have a relationship with my Graves line. I am trying to determine who Frances parents are.
Any information would greatly be appreciated.
Thank You,
Marianne Dillow
