Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I regret I can't respond just now to those who sent me questions about
Colemans. Most of what I know and much that I will never remember is
indexed on those sites, Sherri Nicol's and mine. I encourage anyone
with an interest and a little time to check the name indexes for each
work.
I am preoccupied today with boarding up my house, packing the cars, and
getting my family out of the path of Hurricane Rita. Galveston County
TX, which we call home, is under mandatory evacuation orders.
Thanks.

Fran has collected much of the material for Sherri's book and has been
working with it. I sent her the MS Word files I received from Sherri
and used to create her web site.
When Fran has updates to files, she will get them to me and I will get
them online to update Sherri's book online primarily documenting the
descendants of Robert Coleman of Mobjack Bay, Gloucester County,
Colonial Virginia. "The Colemans of Mobjack Bay" is found online at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mobjackbaycolemans/
The site has a nice menu system on the left side bar showing the
resources on this site.
Meanwhile, I work to update my own work online:
Descendants of Robert Coleman of Nansemond County, Virginia, 1684-1930
found online at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nansemondcolemans/
There is now a clickable, pictorial sitemap for these and many other
resources I maintain on my site. Just add "sitemap.html" to the above
URL.

I would like to hear from anyone of you on information about William G.Coleman, born June 11, 1804 in Indiana or Kentucky, William G. Coleman married Sarah Tindall in Shelby co. Ind. on January 25, 1839, he died in Noble Township, Shelby co. Ind. on July 9, 1860 and is buried in the Winchester Methodist Cemetery in Noble or Washington Township, Shelby co. Ind. William Coleman is buried next to Isaac Neal Tindall and his wife Amelia Messick who were Sarah Tindalls parents. One source in a county history of Stearns co. Mn. stated William Colemans father was Richard Coleman. Duane McKenzie. dmckenze(a)hutchtel.net
Hi everyone,
I'm aware that Sherri has been ill and am sorry to hear about how bad her health has become. My question: does anyone know what will happen to Sherri's book that she was working on?
Sharon
Apologies! My line is no where near as important to me
as Sherri's health. I wou;dnt dream of bothering her.
I was only attempting to answer Warren's email.
I appreciate you trying to help.

Hi Warren and list:
Hi Warren:
I have that site almost memorized and I can't make the
connection. Sherri was going to add my line when she
redid her book but she became ill.
Seems to me that where the site has section or page 5
Daniel Coleman and continues down to "John Coleman -
no further info" is where Sheri intended to add my
line. Can't remember the next Coleman gen down from
him. I used to have it on my website and I was hoping
someone on the lists also was of that line.
I do remember that it turned out that my line went
back to one or two of the early men named Daniel
Coleman, one who had not been verified as a Mobjack
Coleman family until a few yrs ago when a document was
found in KY regarding his family. (Although he was
not from the well documented Ky line).
An the other part I'm sure about is that it contained
Bluford Coleman ( for whom my ggrandfather was named)
and Caroline Coleman as siblings to my forgotten
"person"..blank memory.
They were in or near the VA-NC line and then my Robert
S Coleman was born in Campbell Co VA circa
1822..PERHAPS son of the Robert S. Coleman-Polly Dew,
then Thomas Coleman- Mary Woolfolk..memory fails me.
Wes says he is too busy to find it and I assume Sheri
is still ill, as I wrote to them both.
Thank you for your reply, Warren.
