Hi all, I'm searching for my Gran-mothers paents and siblings if any. We
were told that she came over here with a Dr. and Mrs Hugg because her parents
were killed overseas. Annie Coleman was her name. Are there any Coleman's out
there that might have heard of a similiar story? MJP from Florida
I am looking for help with early Philadelphia area Colemans.
My ancestor Philip Coleman was born in 1771 supposedly in Montgomery Co. PA
(which wasn't formed until 1784 from Philadelphia Co.). His father was
listed by a family member as Henry and his mother Elizabeth. No dates for
these. Henry was a hatter.
I am studying to see if there is a link of any kind between Henry who
would have had to be born about 1750 and Jacob Coleman, Germantown
innkeeper, who owned land in Montgomery Co. Jacob was a witness to a will
of George Keamer ,Germantown hatter, who had a daughter Elizabeth.
Can anyone help?

Good evening:
Virginia "Jenny" "Ginny" A. Colman was born January 22, 1865 in MacClenney, Duval County Florida. Her father was probably Moses "Mose" Coleman. We know that she grew up with at least two brothers, W. M. (living in Starke, 1938) and R. M. (living in Mayport, 1938) (4). She had lived in or near Starke Florida since 1887. She and Thomas Hagan had at least three children. Any assistance with primary or secondary documentation of these lines greatly appreciated. Always happy to swap files.

Hi Ya'll
I have recently found that my grandfather had 2 sisters that we didn't know
about. What a surprise!
I was able to locate them on the 1920 US Census. They were in Cottondale,
Jackson Co., Florida. But- cannot find anything after that, with the exception of
a letter )dated Dec 1940) from a Gr-Aunt referencing a visit from 2 of the
children.
I am looking for ANY information on the following Coleman family:
Albert J. Coleman, M. D. Physican, General Practice, b abt 1880
in AL.
Dixie Eilene Killebrew Wife
b abt 1892 in AL
Albert Jr abt 1916ish
Emmett
Dan
I believe Dr. Albert Coleman had a brother, known as "Alf".
Thank you in advance for ANY help or suggestions.

Good morning everyone.
While I was looking for the parents of Sarah Gabhart that married Charles
McClung in 1834, Augusta County, VA, I came across this;
Sally Gabhart married Peter Coleman, March 1, 1793 in Amherst County, VA.
Anyone on the list familiar with this couple?
Anita McClung
Fayette County, WV
Great granddaughter of Hallie Coleman McClung
Second Great granddaughter of John J. Coleman
My grandmother, who passed before I was born was a Coleman. I recently
found her grandfather was Fredrick Coleman. Ran across a bit on Coleman
cemetery (3 days ago) in Arkansas, also was listed Fredrick's father Henry
Coleman from Germany was the first shoe maker in Van Buren Arkansas. Just
found out about Fredrick, now Henry. WOW! I would like more information
on this man, as the information lists my grandmother and nothing more about
her. Who she married, her children and such. Thought maybe who ever found
this much out might like her history. I would love more on my family. The
Coleman's do not have a lot written about them in Sebastian Co. John and
Mary Coleman, Grace's parents, lived in Auburn, what is now Ft.
Chaffee. Who might I write about this.

Would like some help...
Tracking my great grandmother, Mary A. (Coleman) Mitchell, who married James
D. Mitchell, ancestors.
In the 1870 Census, Ohio, Cuyahoga County, Tenth Ward Cleveland City, Page
421A & 421B, I believe I found Mary A. Coleman at 14 years old, because I have
documentation that she was born 1856 in Ohio.
I'm making assumptions that she is living with her grandfather & grandmother,
William & Elma Davis, along with her mother Phoebe, brother William and aunt
Amanda?
I'm not sure what the census taker meant by "at home" in column 7?
Haven't been able to find my gg grandfather, Coleman, Mary's father?
Any help or commits on this would be appreciated.
Ref: 1870 Census related information below.
