Who on this list have I spoke with that's George Coleman was adopted? I found a George Coleman in 1860 census in St. Vincent's German Orphan Asylum in St. Louis. I saved the page if anyone wants to see it - It's alittle hard to read.

It seems I've heard someone mention these names on here but I didn't connect
them with my line at that time. I have been looking for any connection to a

census at age 18. His father is Edward Coleman born 1807 no state given and
his mother's name is Aulda born 1812 in TN. Their other children all born in
MS are Eliza born 1843, William T born 1844, Leander born 1846, Josephine
born 1848, John born 1852, Sutton born 1854, Sallie born 1856.

share any information I have.
Still searching,

Hey group,
It's been a little quite - here's my questions -
I have a Edmond Coleman born in 1906, son of George Coleman, brother to Clay, Lucy and Johnnie Coleman. He is listed as a son, age 4 in the AR 1910, Mississippi County, Arkansas census. I have never heard anything about this brother of my grandfather. In the 1920 census Mississippi County, AR, Minnie Bell Coleman (that's the women George married after Martha -Mattie died) is listed as a widow - don't know how long but there is no Edmond or any of the other kids - I know that Johnnie joined the army and Clay got married to my grandmother after 1920 but no Edmond or Lucy - story has it that Lucy died of TB but I can find no record of that.
Does anyone have him in their line or know anything about him? Thanks in advance for any help!!

This is my first post. Does anybody know why Thomas Wilkes Coleman b. 1833 Greene Co, AL, was given the middle name Wilkes? Was there a family connection between the Wilkes and Coleman families? Thanks you.
