I am researching Thomas Norris occupation agricultural labourer who married
Maria Coleman in North Bradley Wiltshire and left for Tasmania in 1854 and
settled in Franklin Tasmania (apple growing area) with their 6 children
Honara, James, Jabez, all born in the Rode(Road) parish Somerset. They are
listed in 1851 census as living in Beckington Somerset.
As they were married in Wiltshire there may be some record or connection
with either Coleman or with Norris's living in Wiltshire. or in Somerset
Would like to have contact details with anyone researching the Norris name
and in particular for any descendants of brothers or sisters of Thomas
Norris, particularly those living in this area. His father was James Norris
occupation weaver and his Mother was Ann (or Hannah, or Johanne) His known
brothers and sisters names were John b 1819, James b 1813, Ann born 1815
William born 1821 Thomas (my Great Great Grandfather) b 1816.

Believe my gg grandpa, Emory, was born August 24, 1809, in Newburgh or
Cornwall, Orange Co., NY. His father, Thomas, married a widow Nelson.
Emory married Fidelia Clemania Butler (who I believe was married to a
man named Fielder at some time) in Danville, Ill, in 1842.
I am looking to verify Thomas and identify his parents and ancestors
beyond. Especially trying to connect to a New York branch of the family
of the Thomas who came to Nantucket from England in 1635. An old family
story says an ancestor was among the original white owners of Nantucket
island.
Appreciate any and all help.

Am seeking obituary or cemetery records on Watson COLEMAN.
Watson COLEMAN was born between 1800 and 1810 in Orange County, NY.
He moved to Portage County, OH around 1831. His wife, Harriet Case,
died around 1836. H remarried 20 February 1842 to Mary Ann Johnson in
Portage County, OH. This is where I hit a brick wall.
Am also seeking information on his parents and siblings.
Thank you . Carol Pierson
Carol,
I have an 1840 Ohio census index and didn't see your Watson Coleman.
However, I found a John Coleman in Portage Co., Suffield Twp. p. 303 You
might check him out, he may be a relative. My Coleman's were also in OH. at
this time, in Warren CO.
Good Luck in your search!

I am searching for all information on Mary Jane Coleman (may have been born
in IL in the 1860-70's). She married Simeon Perry Mapps, place and date
unknown. Simeon Mapps was from IL and purchased land in Wayne Co., MO from
the government in 1898. I know who the children were, but that is it! Can
anyone help? Thanks! Debbie
I am looking for information on two Coleman lines that I am trying to
trace. William Coleman born about 1785 married to Cynthia Swain in about
1812. Their children are William T., Caroline Matilda, George Swain,
Mary Isabella, John Hall,Althia Margaret, David, Newton,
Patience,James. He married Evelina Baird and then had Andrew
Baird,Robert Lowery,Charles Thaddeus, Matthew Connelly and Solomon
Henry. The next family was William Hemphill married to Lucretia Coleman
I think they were from SC. They both died in Bastrop Co. TX in the late
1830 or early 1840s they had 9 children.

Hi. I have really run into a stumbling block. My grandfather, John
Edward Coleman (1895-1945), was married to Carolyn Merchant. None of
his family knows anything about his parents, except that his father's
name was John S. Coleman. We believe they lived in Dunkirk, NY in the
late 1800's. Does anybody have any clues on who John S.'s parents or
wife were? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Alvin,
Were you Coleman's ever in Warren Co., OH.? I have the index for ""Beers
History of Warren County Ohio - 1882" It lists an Alfred and a William T.
Alfred was the son of
I am looking for information about the father of William T. Coleman who
married Emily L. Joiner on Jan 14, 1847 in Laurens County, GA. They were the
parents of Henry Clayton Coleman, born about 1848, who owned a large farm
near Rentz, Laurens County, GA.
I had previously been told that William T. was the son of Alfred who was the
son of a Col. Daniel Coleman of Pittsylvania County, VA, but have since
learned that this Daniel Coleman did not have a son named Alfred.
The search goes on!!!
