Yes, Mr Stolze - I'm sure you HAVE "tried it and it works" since it appears
from the URL that comes up when this search engine is accessed that it is
your personal website.
http://swp.directhit.com/s/DHS.fcg?ref=elteees@hawaii.rr.com is the URL
shown at the top of my screen when this search engine is opened. And your
email address is: elteees(a)hawaii.rr.com Seems mighty suspicious tom me!

Hi
I'm looking for SKS to help. I am looking for a reference in the 1861 census to John Coleman and Ellen Coleman formerly Daly who lived in Blaina. They had a daughter Mary who was born in November 1857 and so would have been 3 or 4 depending when the census was taken.
If anyone can help then thanks up front.

I have started a Genealogy eCircle. Anyone can join using this link:
http://www.ecircles.com/magic/j.cgi?IK=1318606C495&oem=ec
You can store any file, including Gedcoms. There is a section where you can
create photo albums, and store backup copies of photos. This has a lot of
features... you can plan reunions and other events. There is a link-grabber
feature that lets you save links to the circle while you are surfing.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think may be
interested in using this.

I have learned from this list that many Colemans were from down south.
My own ancestors never went that route. They landed in Miami Township,
Hamilton Co., OH around 1800 from somewhere in New Jersey. From there, my
grandfather, Jacob, who was orphaned at an early age, moved into Rush Co. IN
and married, then on to Jasper Co, and then Cumberland Co., IL before giving
up on the land and moving to Cowley Co., KS via Polk Co., MO.
After 10 years in KS they went on to Juab Co., UT, where his brother
Uriah had landed and married. After several more moves Jacob finally died
in Emery Co., UT, in 1896.
Now, for the people I cannot find: Jacob had two brothers, besides Benjamin
and James, which I have lost track of: Edward and John COLEMAN. I have
also lost track of his sisters, Hannah DAVIS and Priscilla ROBERTS.
I am also seeking descendants of his children and have lots of history to
share with interested parties.

This is no relation to me, but I received a death certificate in error that
lists a Martha STRICKLAND as the mother of a James COLEMAN. If anyone wants
more info on this (these) person(s), let me know. I have a copy of the
certificate that I will gladly send to anyone who wants it.

I really haven't been paying much attention to the Moses COLEMAN posts, but
thought I would put my two cents in. I have a Moses STRICKLAND married to a
Francis COLEMAN in FL. If this is of interest to anyone please let me know
and I'll share details. I have decendents on this family. Happy Hunting.
Dianne
I cannot see any direct connection to the line with Strickland that Peg
has posted, but here may be a clue to follow.
You did not say where the Colemans were before coming to FL...
I have this line:
Moses Coleman I born c 1718 or before died 1769 in Edgecombe Co NC
wife: Mary
children:
John, AMos, Christian, MOSES II
Moses II born c 1740/50 died c1799 in Columbus Co NC
wife: Lorena/Lurana (poss. Faulk)
children:
Theophilus (1761-1845) m Keziah___
Phillip m Sarah Stephens
Dempsey c1778-1823 m Keziah Faulk
Henry
Lucretia 1783-1840 m William Hemphill
Charity m EL;ijah Worley
Moses III c1775-1814 m #1 Ireasy Cahoon #2 Mary, maiden unk., widow of
Simon Cahoon
Amos m Winnifred___
John
My Moses III went to KY and his children are documented in estate
records. He is not Pegs. But perhaps the line of Theophilus or Dempsey?
Theophilus left a will in Columbus Co NC 9 July 1845 WB A p 23
Dempsey also died there May 1823 and left his will Book A p 48
Perhaps these wills will help you if you can get them.

I am not sure if this is part of my Coleman family but thought it might be
helpful to someone. Deb
T. Coleman du Pont's mother was Ellen Susan Coleman (January 17, 1838-May
10, 1876). His father was Antoine Bidermann du Pont. They were married
April 18, 1861. She died in childbirth.
E. I. du Pont married Sophie Madeleine Dalmas. One of their sons, Alfred
Victor Philadelphe du Pont married Margaretta Elizabeth Lammot. Antoine
Bidermann is their son.
T. Coleman du Pont's sister, Margaretta Elizabeth du Pont, married Michael
Bannen Coleman May 24, 1888. This contributed many Colemans to the du Pont
family tree.
Dear COLEMAN List...
Can someone please assist me? My Grandmother was Lula Victoria STRICKLAND,
her father, Aaron Allen Overby STRICKLAND had brothers named Stoughten
(Stouten) and James Conley STRICKLAND. As best I understand it, Stouten
married Lydia Ann COLEMAN and James C. married Lydia's sis (?) named Kizzie.
I believe Lydia and Kizzie's parents to be Moses COLEMAN and Lydia ________.
Does anyone on this list know of the Moses COLEMAN family. I believe Moses
and his wife Lydia were buried at Blue Pond Cem? in Columbia Co FL? I will
appreciate your time and effort concerning my questions...Peg
