Center. Born in Hornell, NY,
she resided in the Syracuse
area for over 30 years.
Janice was a former employee at
the Economy Bookstore and also
sold Avon for many years. She
was predeceased by her brother
Phillip Colegrove. Janice is
survived by her loving husband
of 33 years, Oscar; son, Chris
Wickwire of Plant City, FL;
daughters, Carol Wickwire of
Kingston, NY, Joyce Dowling
of MD, Fae Smith of Baltimore,

Charles S. "Charlie" Marvin,
88, formerly of Syracuse, died
September 7 in Davidson, NC,
where he recently moved to be
with his family due to health
issues. Charlie was born in
Syracuse, the son of Irene
Sherwood and Ronald B. Marvin
who was elected Mayor of
Syracuse five times in the
1930s and 40s. Shortly after
graduating high school from
pebble Hill he entered WWII
serving in the Navy aboard the
USS Pontiac. Upon leaving the
service, he put himself
through Syracuse University
using the GI Bill obtaining
a degree in political science.
a successful executive of the
Northrop Agency in Syracuse,
Charlie represented Berkshire
Life Insurance and other
products. He lived in front
of Beard Park and was a parish-
ioner of the Immaculate Con-
ception Church in Fayetteville
from 1959 until last year. He
was a devoted father and grand-
father, golf, jokes, his three
Schnauzers; Jock, Storm and
Shadow, discussing the demise
of Democrats and of course
Syracuse sports. His greatest
enjoyment was the friendship
and comradery found at the
Onondaga Golf & Country Club
in Fayetteville where he was
an enthusiastic member for over
half a century until his
passing.
Surviving him are his son and
daughter-in-law Chuck and Pil Sun
Marvin of Davidson, NC; two
granddaughters, Cynthia M (nick)
Kain of Richmond, VA and Jennifer
Irene Marvin of Chapel Hill, NC;
niece, Kathryn D. (Daniel)
Coughlin of Skaneateles; two
nephews, William A. Muench of
Hopkinton, MA and Mark M. (Mary)
Muench of Rochester. He was
predeceased by his daughter
Patricia Ann Marvin (Patti) in
1984 and three wives: Jean
Colegrove Marvin (1971), Betty
Haskell Marvin (1989) and Pat
Huey Marvin (2011). His sister
Irene Kathryn (Renee) Muench
passed in November, 2012.

David Josephe Colegrove, 71,
of Skaneateles, NY, passed
away surrounded by his loving
family on June 30, 2016.
David is survived by his five
children, David Patrick (Marisa),
Kevin (Kiyomi), Jessica Storey
(Matthew), Andrea Shaver, and
Edmond (Lauren); his nine
grandchildren, Elizabeth,
Carter, Rachel, Nicolas, Elena,
Silvia, Gloria, Madelene and
Emerson; his six siblings,
Nancy Vail, Kathleen, Joy
Cornell (Brian), John (Gayle),
James (Mary) and Elizabeth
Dann (Matthew) and many nieces
and nephews. He is preceded
in death by his parents,
Wayne and Margaret, of Elmira,
NY.
David was born April 28,
1945 in Elmira, NY and was a
graduate of Notre Dame High
School. He received his
Bachelor's degree from LeMoyne
College in Syracuse. David
joined the United States Navy
and Admirably served during
the Vietnam War on the USS
Meredith. Following a long
career in the insurance
industry, he became an
advocate for and developer
of alternative energy
programs. He was a longtime
member of the Skaneateles
Community, raising 5 children
there and was an avid supporter
of both Skaneateles and
Syracuse athletics.
David was a very social and
active man with many loyal,
loving friends. He organized
and completed marathons and
triathlons, had a passion for
reading and continuous learning,
followed politics at all levels
and loved to gather with friends
to debate current events. He
loved the outdoors, especially
the waters of the Finger Lakes
and Lake Champlain. David was
very proud of his Irish
heritage, devoted to his
Catholic faith and a committed
member of the St. Mary's parish.
His most treasured moments were
spent gathering with his child-
ren, grandchildren, family and
friends. David's lasting
legacy will always be the pro-
found impact he made in the
lives of others.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled
for Monday, August 1st at 10
a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake
Catholic Church in Skaneateles,
NY. All are welcome to
celebrate David's life. A
reception will follow at the
St. Mary's Parish Hall.
In Lieu of flowers, David
asked that contributions be
made to the Southern Poverty
Law Center at www.splcenter.org.

Colgrove dies
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Earl Col-
grove, whoe spent more than 30
years as a still photographer
with the Walt Disney studio,
died Nov. 16. He was 93.
Colgrove began his photo-
graphy career in the mid-1920s
with Technicolor in Hollywood,
working on some of the first
films done in color.
His friendship with Walt
Disney helped him land a job
as head of Disney's still
camera department. He worked
there until World War II, when
Walt Disney gave him leave to
volunteer as a Lieutenant in
the Navy.
After the war, Colgrove
returned to his job at Disney
and began recording the history
of Walt Disney productions. He
retired in 1972

The bridegroom is the son of Colleen
Colgrove of Galena and the late
William C. Colgrove.
Dorothea Davis, organist, and Troy
Wade, soloist provided music.
Candlelighters were Lynne Chase and
Shelley Scott.
Bambi Goodall and Dimita Doss
attended their sister, and Elizabeth
Schurman was flower girl.
Scott Boyes was best man and B.J.
Garrison was groomsman. Ring bearer
was Ryan Schurman.
Assisting at the church reception
were Kelli Boyes, Angela Colgrove,
Loretta Holcomb and Holly Jacobs.
After a swdding trip to Tulsa,
Okla., the couple are at home in
Rural Galena.

"Grandpa" Colgrove
"Grandpa" Colgrove, aged 87 years, who
had been making his home with his daughter,
Mrs. G. C. Russell, at MaAllister Springs,
died there Sunday morning, death being due
to general debility.
Mr. Colgrove was a native of Kentucky,
and since coming to Pettis county had been
known by most everyone in the vicinity of
McAllister Springs as "Grandpa" Colgrove.
Besides the daughter of the mentioned, he
is survived by several children in Ken-
tucky.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at
McAllister Springs, and burial was made at
that place.
Several Sedalians attended the funeral,
among them being Mrs. Harry D. Frueauff
and Master Junior Fruiauff; Mrs. C. M.
Jamison, Mrs. C. B. Russell and Mrs. L.
A. Osborne.
The Late Samuel V. Colgrove
Samuel V. Colgrove, whose death was
chronicled in Monday's Democrat, was
born in the state of New York January
8, 1827. His parents died when he was
an infant, and although he did not have
an opportunity of obtaining an education,
yet he instructed himself, and was a
well informed man.
At the age of 22 he commenced to learn
the carpenter's trade also mill-wrighting,
and was a fine workman at both, having no
superior in the county.
In 1867, he married Mrs. L. J. Finley,
a native of Shelby county, Ky. Mr. Col-
grove was a Master Mason. He and his
wife were members of the Baptist church.
His wife died March 22, 1906, at Pleasure-
ville, Ky.
He came to Missouri in September, 1907,
to spend the declining years of his life
with his stepdaughter, Mrs. G. C. Russell,
of 1101 East Fifteenth street, Sedalia.
He died November 22, 1914, at McAllister
Springs of Bright's disease. He was
buried at Rose Valley cemetery, in Saline
county.

TEWKSBURY -- Guy Joseph Indelicato, 65 an
active participant in the town's youth
sport, died Thursday afternoon, Sept 9, at
New England Medical Center in Boston after a
brief illness. He was the husband of Rose-
mary (LaMonica) (Mayers) Indelicato, with
whom he would have celebrated their 15th
anniversary yesterday.
He was born in Everett on Dec 31, 1938, a
son of the late Gaetano and Lucy (Montenero)
Indelicato. He was raised in Everett and
graduated from Everett High School in 1956.
He graduated from Northeastern University
in 1967.
Mr. Indelicato was a Vietnam War-era
veteran, having served in the Strategic Air
Command brance of the U.S. Air Force.
He worked as an electrical engineer for
Raytheon at West Andover.
He had lived in Tewksbury since 1966, and
was a communicant of St. William's Church
there.
While raising his family, Mr. Indelicato
was a coach for the Pop Warner Football
League and a booster for the Redmen Football
Club.
He enjoyed oil, acrylic and water-color
painting, drawing and listening to "oldies"
music.
Besides his wife, he is survived by seven
children and their spouses, Guy and Karen
(Latta) Indelicato of Tewksbury, Mark and
Anna (Provenzano) Indelicato of Florida,
James Indelicato of Florida, Joseph Indelicato
of Tewksbuty, Annmarie and Daniel French of
Pelham, Stephanie and Kevin Murphy of Mansfield,
and Michelle Mayers of Tewskbury; 13 grand-
children; two sisters, Marilyn Indelicato of
Tamworth, N.H., and Elizabeth "Betty" DeSimone
of Everett; and his longtime friend, Robert
DiBerto of Tewksbury.
He was also the husband of the late Janice
(Colgrove) Indelicato, who died in 1983.

BLACKSMITH BEATING HIM
BRATTLEBORO, Vt. Feb 6 -- Philip G.
Colgrove of 12 Prospect st. a blacksmith,
41 years old, died today in the Melrose
Hospital in West Brattleboro as the
result of being kicked yesterday by a
horse.
Mr. Colgrove became angry and began
beating the horse, which after a time
kicked him squarely in the chest with
both hind feet.

Mrs. Sadie M. Colgrove, 76,
Widow of Frank M. Colgrove and
a native of North Adams, died
Friday at Dedham where she had
made her home for the past 25
years. Death followed a short
illness.
Mrs. Colgrove was the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
W. Rising. She was a member of
the First Baptist church here
and the D.A.R. chapter at Dedham.
Shortly after her marriage in
1901, she went to Saratoga
Springs, N.Y., to live and
remained there until the death
of her husband in 1927, when she
went to Dedham to live with a
sister, Mrs. Charles A. Cobb.
She leaves one other sister,
Mrs. R. H. Bateman of 117 Church
street.
Funeral services were held
today at Dedham with burial in
Saratoga, N.Y.

Death of Myron T. Colgrove
Myron T. Colgrove, 52, died at the
Franklin county hospital Tuesday
night as the result of a shock
sustained some time ago. He was a
native of Belchertown and for many
years made his home in Northampton
and Florence and was employed as a
motorman on the street car line
between Greenfield and Northampton.
About a year ago he opened a
market on Chapman street which he
later sold out to William H.
Sweeney and for the past year has
been employed by the Boston and
Maine railroads at east Deerfield.
He is survived by a son, Byron E.
Colgrove of Batavia, N.Y. and Miss
Bessie Colgrove of Northampton,
two sisters and a brother. He was
a member of the Knights of Phthias
and it is expected that the funeral
will be held Friday with the burial
in Florence.
