Wedding ring first worn
by grandmother in 1904
Blue candles lit the sanctuary
of the First Presbyterian Church
of Wymore, April 24th for the
wedding uniting in marriage Miss
Gwenith Closs and Mr. Gary
Colgrove. both of Wymore.

formed by the Rev. Richard
Carpenter before 300 guests.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Ellsworth Closs and
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Colgrove
of Wymore.
A double ring ceremony was
used. The solid gold ring, the
bride chose to use, was her
grandmother's (Mrs. Jennie
Closs) wedding band used by
her in 1904.
The soloist, Maldwyn Closs, sang
three numbers. He was accompanied
at the organ by his wife, who also
played the wedding music. Daryl
Peterson and Stanley Goes, two
trumpeters, played a duet with
organ accompaniment as the bride
entered. A song by the con-
gregation was sung at the close
of the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her parents, was
escorted to the altar by her
father. She was attired in a long
medieval styled gown of white
crepe. The long pointed sleeves,
which extended to the floor,
were edged with handmade
pearl beading, as was the high
standup collar. Beading also
edged the tall cap from which
the long chiffon train fell. The
bride's bouquet was an arrange-
ment of multi-colored spring
flowers attached to long wide
avocado green velvea ribbon
which hung into a cascade effect
and was carried over her wrist.

bodice met a slightly flared skirt
at the waistline. Her four-tiered

that was accented with daisy
mums. She carried a white
Bible topped with a lavender
orchid and white stephanotis.
