Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Sorry, I need to apologize for this. No hoax intended but it is wrong. I should have checked it out further before I sent it.
I trusted the person who sent it to me and I'm sure she had no bad intentions.
Sorry for any inconvenience it caused. I did delete these files but went into the "recycle bin" and had them reinstalled.
Sorry again, Garry

Subject: Virus
Sorry, this is no joke! This virus attacks address books. I "did" have it!
Easy to check and get rid of !
1. Go to start and then to Find/or Search
2. type in jdbgmgr.exe (teddy bear icon) If you don't have it you are done!
3. If you have it go to "edit" on your menu bar & choose "select all" (this will highlight but not open the file)
4. Go to file on menu bar and select "delete" which will send them to your recycle ben. Then you can delete from
there if you wish!
Sorry, I got it from a "friend" through her address book. IF you have it you should pass this on to everybody in your
address book even if you haven't sent them a message for a very long time. No matter! (I guess I don't understand
this part, but that's what it says!!) Also says, Norton, Dr. Solomon, etc, do not detect this. (MY Norton didn't)
Sorry, but deleting the file is incorrect. That is a legitimate file used
by your operating system -- if it is infected you should use an updated
virus scanner to disinfect the .exe file.
Please check this link for more information on this .exe file and other
viruses.

Thanks,
