I've been trying for years to find Barnet Cole Sr's parents. This is a
real brick wall for me and would greatly appreciate if anyone has any
info to share. I'll gladly share my info with other family members.
Thank you,

Wondering if those researching James and Daniel Cole know of their siblings.
Samuel Cole married Mariah Taylor in Holsworthy, Devon, England and
emigrated with their family to St Thomas, Ontario, Canada in 1843 with
their children and their childrens families.
I know this is later in the lines but show Samuel born 1794...hoping you
might have heard or have it somehow connect....I do know there was a
Samuel Cole in Slapton Devon with names of children almost the same as
my Cole line according to the 1841 census. For years people had linked
my Samuel Cole and counted him born in Slapton which was an error.
If anyone has come down the line and found my cole line I would
appreciate hearing from them. Mine were tied early on with the Bible
Christians and later the Baptists and Methodists.
Samuel was counted a Gentleman on the census in Canada and said to have
been a shoemaker in Devon....at least he brought over a large supply of
Shoemaking material and was said to "never had whipped the cat".

I know they helped settled New Amsterdam. And I have found so far across the pond is that there are at least one or two generations there. So I am not one who thinks they too may be related to James' line in England. Only loose connection I have found is that the Kool family in New Amsterdam built the first brewery there, and James certainly would have enjoyed that!<vbg>

I have been researching for several years and haven't found eithers parents.? I have looked at the website Cole Family of Devon and Cornwell, England which is very interesting but haven't found any of their ancestry related to mine.? Don't give up hope. Thanks to a gentlemen from CA researching a friends Cole family, he found my husbands?great grandmothers Obit in Missouri and where she is suppose to be buried in an unmarked grave in Ok.? We had been looking for nearly 10 yrs so there is hope. Keep the info coming and if I find any of your family I will let you know.? Judy
