Yes, I know about the Marys. <g> I have concentrated on the name Samuel.
I don't see too many of those. Thank you for your response.

Hi,
My thoughts on ur question.
I would say it could be a possibility.
There are 2 different Townships here.
You have 2 households both with a Mary.
Why don't u look for a Map that will perhaps give u a location.
And I have this to say...there are lots of Mary's back then.
I would have to say yours are 2 different Mary's.
With a stong possblity of them being relatives.
In my Knight family I have at least 4 maybe 5 Mary's.
1) A mother-in law
2)A daughter
3)A sister-in law
4) niece
5) mother.
Its hard keeping them sorted out.It one Church record ,there was
4 of them all attending the same church.
Take care and have a great holiday.

Some advice please. I have the family of Samuel Copeland in my database
and I trying to sort out the findings I get when researching the 1880
census.
First some background. This is the family as I know them.
Samuel Copeland b. 1788 or 1797 m. Mary Cole 02 Feb. 1839. She was born
1816.
They had:
Elizabeth Copeland b. 1844
John Copeland b. 1845
Joseph Copeland b. 1847
Joseph Leach Copeland b. 1850
Nancy Copeland b. 1851
Samuel Copeland, Jr., b. 1855
Mary Copeland, b.. 1857
Samuel Copeland died 1865 so for the 1870 and 1880 census I was looking
for Mary Cole Copeland.
In the 1880 census, I think she was counted twice because I think she
had two households.
#1 SD 7, ED 98, Stamped 511C,Handwritten 7, Line 30, Dwelling 64, Family
64
Washington Township, Harrison County, Ohio, I have:
Copeland Mary, 58
Maria 30
Lenard 28
Samuel 26
Nancy 24
#2 SD 7, ED 117, Page 31, Line 21, Dwelling 289, Family 304
Wayne Township, Jefferson County, Ohio, I have:
Copeland Mary 56
John M. 35
Joshua L. 27
Now, I know there are reasons to say, "No, Brian, these are two
different families." But is there a chance that Mary was counted twice.
I'm not going to turn her in as I'm sure the statute of limitations has
run out, <g> but is it possible that she had two households. The latter
one would be the family farm.
I would appreciate whatever help you all can give me.
