Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Since it has been awhile since I've posted, I'd like to throw this query out again:
Looking for any information on Frank C. Cole, born approx 1846-49 in Villa Rica, GA. I have his actual marriage record to Mary L(ouise) Swafford in Paulding County, GA - 1872. She was the daughter of Moses Swafford and Nancy Odom. No clue on marriage record as to parentage. Census says his parents born in Georgia.
They show up on the Paulding County census in 1880, but Frank has been found in no censuses before that. EXHAUSTIVE searches on every possible spelling have been done on Ancestry.Com. There is a Frank Cole (single) who is the right age in the Union Parish, LA census in 1870. Did he go to Louisiana earlier than I thought and then returned to Georgia to marry? His name may have been "Franklin" since that name keeps turning up in his famly - no idea what the "C" stands for. The name "Newton" is also carried through this family. Their first child was named "Newton Franklin Cole."
Frank and Mary had a large family and migrated in the late 1880's to Union Parish, Louisiana where they settled. Both are buried there. I have lots of info on descendants, but the parentage of Frank has long been our brick wall. His death certificate says parents unknown. No mention of them in his obit. I looked up the original marriage license in Paulding County - no mention of parent's names.
Can anyone help me?

Well the best way is to go to rootsweb.com and then go to WorldConnect. My specific database is identified at wcolethruezek.
However the exact address is http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=wcolethruezek

Scan again make it darker or lighter depending on what
you can do with your photo program..it may take some
adjustment on your part to read it because some of
those people who filled those papers out-may not have
been able to write really well.... otherwise they couldn't
spell (smile)
