I am looking for information to those names.
Any one who is related to those ancestors?
Lets' ringing.
George Cumberland Cole b 1862 in Missouri.
His father was Richard S. Cole "R.S."
George and first wife had a son named Justin b 1890 in MO.
George and second wife Katherine were married in 1897 and
had two daughters named Juanita and Florence in Ralls County, MO.
Did Florence ever married between 1920 and 1930?
Does she still living or passed away when?
Thanks in advance.
I am looking for information on the Cole family of St. Mary's County, MD
that traveled to Kentucky shortly after the American Revolution. I'd be
grateful for any assistance.
Regards,
Jeff Prang
I was looking for Oliver Mason probably an ancestor of mine, and I found he
married a Martha Cole in Ma in Dec 1728. There was also a Hugh Cole and an
Ebenezer Cole in there too. Don't know if that's any help. But it's
interesting they were in general area. M.E. jsorensen4(a)cfl.rr.com

I have convinced my brother, Robert
(Bob) Cole to have his DNA tested since I am female, and my DNA
wouldn't do. He has made a match with another Cole person by the
name of Rick Cole on the 12, 25, and 37 marker tests. Rick and I
have found where his most distant Cole ancestor and mine were both
from the same area of the U.S., and born around the same time era.
We have not found the common link Cole ancestor, as of yet. We are
hoping that some one out there in cyberspace will have the answer for
which we seek. Rick's most distant Cole ancestor is Lemuel H. Cole
b. 30 Apr 1788 in New Hampshire, and mine is Samuel Kimball Cole Bet.
1794 – 1795 in Londonderry, NH. We have both found possible areas
in Boxford, Mass. where they might have been. There is some
speculation that Lemuel H. & Samuel K. might either be brothers
or first cousins. There has been some speculation that perhaps an
ancestor of theirs might have been a Thomas Cole from Salem, Mass.
Thomas Cole came to the U.S. in 1632. What we need is anyone who is
a male descendant of this Thomas Cole to have their DNA tested to see
if they match us. In 1842 in Eaton County, Michigan Curtis A. Cole,
who is a descendant of Thomas Cole, was married. Lemuel H. Cole was
also living there in the same time frame. Any help or further
information on this would be very much appreciated.

I descend from Alvah Cole but don't have info on his parents. He was born in the late 1700's, if I recall correctly without my paperwork in front of me, and lived in upstate New York.

There were English Cole families in Ulster. I think it will not be difficult
to trace them.

Surprise, surprise. I finally received my ggrandfather's death cert. Family said he was English, well it seems he was born in Ireland abt. 1828 to Irish parents, Thomas and Kity. He had a brother Thomas 2 years his junior. I find then in St. Andrew's Helborn Parish, Middlesex, England in 1851. William was 22 and Thomas 20. William married in the US in 1855. I find no immigration records. Where do I look for info in Ireland to find where he may have been born? I am stumped now that I find I am Irish, been searching England all this time.
