Looking for information on Henry Cole, born about 1792-96 in Georgia. He
lived in Kershaw Co SC from about 1813, then may have moved somewhere else,
possibly Tuscaloosa AL (1850 census)then Quitman Co GA (1860 census). In
1850 census he is listed Nancy Cole, could be his wife, and various
children, James C. Cole, Martha, William H., and others. In 1860 this
family minus Nancy is in Quitman Co GA. I may have information on parents
and siblings of this Henry Cole.

I am searching for information on the Allisa M.Cole below. I know that Sarah
A.E. Stephenson married James K. Cole in Madison Co,Al in 1870. How does
Allisa M.Cole connect?
1860 Census for North Western Division, Madison, AL
Robert S Stephenson, 39, (1820), Tennessee
Susan F Stephenson, wife, 30, (1829), Tennessee
Jas B Stephenson, 11, (1848), Alabama
Sarah A E Stephenson, 9, (1850), Alabama
and
1880 Census for Madison, AL
Robert Stephenson, 59, (1821) TN/SC/SC

Allisa M Cole, 25, (1855), AL
(this paragraph below is part of a message I sent to Madison Co,AL message
list,so please ignore except to show the different Coles living in Madison).
Can someone tell me a quick way to find these Cole families on the online 1870

Cole,Huntsville P.O. p287;Jesse Cole,Huntsville P.O. 108; and Granson
Cole,Madison P.O. 165.
I believe this Jesse Cole that shows up on the 1880 census of Wood Co,TX might
be the father of John M.Cole who married Susan Darwin in Madison Co,Alabama in
1867. Shortly after 1880 Robert Stephenson and his family moved to Wood Co,TX.
Here is the 1880 Wood County Census info on John M. Cole

Hi everyone ~
I'm having a pretty hard time with this family ~ Eda S. Turrell, daughter of Celia Maria Dodge
& Nicholas Terrell/Turrell b. 1855-1856 Chautauqua Co., NY (probably Sheridan) married Almanzo
Preston b. 1854 NY on 14 November 1878 in Sheridan. I have located the family in Harmony Twp. on
the 1880 census, on the 1910 census they are in Crawford Co., Pennsylvania but know they were in
Chautauqua Co. at least through 1890, and probably through 1900 although I have not been able to
find them on the 1900 census for Harmony Twp. I found "Edith" with daughter Ida in Cleveland,
Ohio on the 1920 census, where Edith died in 1928. Ida never married, served overseas in World
War I as a secretary, belonged to the Women's Overseas Service League, and died in 1968 in St.
Petersburg, Florida.
According to Eda's info on the 1910 census, they had been parents of 6 children, but only 3
were surviving, which would mean that during the duration of their life in Chautauqua Co., they
had 3 children who passed away as. The children who are known to have survived into adulthood
were Clarence H., b. ca 1885, Ida Florence b. 07 May 1881, and Louis/Lewis R., b. 1890. The 1880
census gives information for a Clarence b. Sept 1879 - which really conflicts with the info for
son Clarence on the 1910 census who is 25 (b. ca 1885).
Does anyone know of any Preston infants or small children who are buried in Harmony or
Sheridan? Because of the disparity in the ages of the 2 sons named Clarence, I'm wondering if
perhaps their first child named Clarence b. Sept 1879 perhaps died as an infant, or if these two
children are the same and the ol' census taker got his information from someone else besides the
family in 1910.
Thanks, any help with this family would be appreciated.
