In 1900 Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation Census (Oklahoma):
Minnie Cole, born December 1879, age 20, widowed, was born in Missouri. Her parents was both born in Missouri.
Minnie Cole was living with Minus and Margaret Alexander and show Minnie as "niece".
Look like Minnie married a Cole, since she was a widowed. This Margaret Alexander is Cole, Margaret A. Cole, born in Monroe County, Tennessee in 1835. Margaret's parents are Isaac and Rebecca Cole, from Monroe County, Tennessee.
If you recognize this family, please get in touch with me. Thank. Teresa

One small little item that not alot of researchers know about is a law that
passed either just before or after the Cherokee Land Lottery of 1832 in which
an Indian could be allowed to remain in Georgia IF (this was a big one) they
were willing to swear allegience to the State of Georgia INSTEAD of to the
Cherokee Nation. If needed, I'll backtrack in my doc's and find it for you.
That would allow that Indian to be as a white.

This is from the Dawes Commission Index, 1896. Jacob Cole died in 1847.
There were other Jacob Coles in the family, however. How do I look this
up? I replied to your last message, Gina, but I did it from another email
so I don't think you'll get it. Maybe. I would appreciate any help anyone
could be with this lookup. Paula Baker

Here is a record compiled from the records of St Michan, Ireland and will
and deed documents from Ireland. It is said in one document that William
Cole's father was Henry. I need a second document to verify this before
it can be guaranteed.
Descendants of William Cole
Generation No. 1
1. WILLIAM1 COLE was born 1575, and died October 1653 in Dublin,
Ireland. He married (1) SUSANNAH CROFT 1605. He married (2) CATHERINE
PARSONS 1620, daughter of LAWRENCE PARSONS and JANE MALHM. She was born
in Castle Birr, Offaly, Ireland.
Notes for WILLIAM COLE:
Source for birth and death records are from The Registers of St. Michan,
Dublin, Ireland, Church of Ireland.

Burial: St Michan, Dublin, Ireland
Notes for CATHERINE PARSONS:
Birr Castle Demesne
The gardens at Birr Castle Demesne, though large by any standard, exude
an atmosphere of intimacy as well as grandeur. They extend across 40ha of
an 18th century park whose lake, river, waterfalls, woodlands and
sweeping open spaces are adorned by an outstanding collection of 2,000
species of rare trees and shrubs many grown from seed collected from the
five continents. The Great Telescope, built in 1845 as the largest in the
world and now fully restored, can be seen operating throughout the day.
The Galleries of Discovery demonstrate the pioneering discoveries of the
Parsons family and of major Irish scientists through hands-on exhibits in
astronomy engineering, photography and botany. The gardens have been
restored with the assistance of an ERDF grant through the Great Gardens
of Ireland Restoration Programme and a FÁS scheme.
Castles in Ireland were not elaborate dwellings of royalty. While it is
true most were owned by the heads of clans, kings or titled English
gentry, they were fortified dwellings, for protection against raids and
invaders. The vikings extended the concept of fortified enclosures for
protection by building walls around entire villages or towns with towers
set in the walls at intervals to watch for enemies.
Children of WILLIAM COLE and CATHERINE PARSONS are:
2. i. MICHAEL2 COLE, b. 1621.
3. ii. JR JOHN COLE, b. 1624, Enniskillen, Fermanaugh, Ireland; d. 1691.
4. iii. ROBERT COLE, b. 1626, Balleymackey, Tipperary, Ireland.
Generation No. 2
2. MICHAEL2 COLE (WILLIAM1) was born 1621.
Child of MICHAEL COLE is:
5. i. MICHAEL3 COLE, b. 1640, Enniskillen, Fermanaugh, Ireland; d.
February 11, 1710.
3. JR JOHN2 COLE (WILLIAM1) was born 1624 in Enniskillen, Fermanaugh,
Ireland, and died 1691. He married ELIZABETH CHICHESTER 1652, daughter
of JOHN CHICHESTER and MARY JONES. She was born 1634 in Dungannon,
Tyrone, Ireland.
Notes for JR JOHN COLE:
Saint Michans Church (L), for five hundred years the only parish church
in Dublin north of the Liffey, was founded in c.1095 by the Danish colony
in Oxmanstown. The present structure dates from 1685-6, when it was
completely rebuilt to serve the prosperous new residential area created
by Sir Humphrey Jervis. The church contains a magnificent organ, one of
the oldest still in use in this country, on which Handel is believed to
have played while composing The Messiah. A remarkable panel on the
organ gallery, carved from a single block of wood, portrays a collection
of musical instruments in high relief. There is a Penitents Stool (the
only one of its kind in Dublin and an eighteenth century pulpit and font.
Among the items of church plate is a chalice dating from 1516.
St. Michans is especially famous for its vaults and the mummified bodies
which lie there, preserved by the limestone in the ground which keeps the
air absolutely dry. Some of the bodies, in a fine state of preservation,
are on view to the public. Also in the vaults are the remains of the
Sheares brothers, who were executed for their part in the 1798 Rising.
Dating from the seventeenth century, though erected on the site of a
Danish church founded in 1096. The square tower is believed to date from
this period. The vaults are worldrenowned; bodies, including one of an
eight-foot tall crusader have lain there for centuries showing no signs
of decomposition.
