Linda,
I have not found conclusive documentation for the marriage of Nathaniel Cole
and Elizabeth Eddy. I'm not even sure where they were married, but it was
most probably Swansea since she and Nathaniel were born there and so were
their children (at least all these births were recorded there). Her father
Caleb Eddy's 1710 will lists her without a last name, but she was definitely
married because she was given a shilling in addition to what she had received
at her marriage. Circumstantially, she named her youngest son Caleb.
Furthermore, this Caleb named two of his sons Caleb and Eddy (actually he
named 2 sons Eddy, but one died young).

Can anyone help me find information on my cousin Archie Edwin Cole? He was
born in 1887 in Huntington Co., Indiana, son of William Dale Cole and Emma
Lucas Lee. Archie married Ruth Crawford in 1916 in Washington, D.C. and had
two children, Julie Lee and James William. Ruth died in 1929 and Archie may
have remarried. Archie's last known address was Riverdale, Illinois in 1938.
Karen,
This is the text I have in my manuscript for Lydia Wheeler Cole:
"Sampson d. 25 June 1833, aged 78 years, 3 months, 8 days; Lydia d. 25
March 1841, aged 71 years. Their gravestones still stand in the small
cemetery near the Blankenbeckler School below St. Clair Bottom Church near
Adwolfe.
Redmond Cole says Lydia was b. about 1770, which he no doubt calculated
from her gravestone. However, this is probably incorrect, as she would have
been only 11 years old when her first child was born. Possibly the gravestone
is incorrect or the numbers worn."
>From pages 5-6 of this book:
Cole, Redmond Selecman; Mary C. Cole, ed. The Coles of Johnson County, State
of Tennessee. Tulsa, OK: By the editor, 1961-62. The title on the cover of
this paperbound book says The Story of Captain Jesse Cole of Johnson County,
Tennessee, His Ancestry and Related Families.
I have not seen the gravestones so cannot vouch for the dates.
If you are descended from one of Lydia's children, I am interested in further
discussion with you offline.

Does anyone have a birthdate for Lydia Wheeler wife of Sampson Cole. I show
him married 1st to Keziah Cole in 1773 and to Lydia in 1780. The dates I
found in the IGI and other places on the net have her birthdate as 1770 and
that just doesn't go with the birthdates of her children. I know people
married early back then but 10 years old is just not realistic. Any help
would be appreciated.

I wonder if anybody has any information regarding the COLE family from Fifehead Neville, Belchalwell area in Dorset, England.
I have traced them back as far as Richard COLE, buried in 1825. His son was Adam COLE, married to Jane PARKER.
I know that this family goes back to the 1700s here in this area and wonder if anybody has any info.
Thank you,
Alison.
I believe I found the marriage for my Samuel Cole and Sarah Ann.
