I'm new to the Cole list and this is my first posting. I'm actually researching the Job(e) line and I have two Cole - Jobe marriages in a location where my own branch was known to have lived at one time.
I'm hoping to find some descendants of these families who would know if these Coles are brothers and for sure who the parents of the Jobe girls are - though I do know one.
The two marriages are:
1) Nancy JOBE who married Benjamin COLE (though has been transcribed as Coyle by some - but belive it is Cole) on July 30, 1799 in Cumberland Co., KY by Rev. John Mulkey of the Mill Creek Church. (I need to know Nancy's parents and anything on this family)
2) Rachel JOBE who married William COLE on Jan 12, 1802 Barren Co., KY by Rev. John Mulkey of the Mill Creek Church (Though I presently show her parents as Nathan Jobe and Lydia McCorky - I'm now questioning this)
Then for this same time frame and the same minister, I have this marriage:
3) Hannah JOBE to William Marrs LOGUE Aug 6, 1799 Cumberland Co., Ky by Rev. John Mulkey of the Mill Creek Church. We have just recently discovered power of attorney which indicates that she is d/o Enoch Jobe and his 1st wife, Lucretia, who about 1809 went to Warren Co., TN and by 1819 was in Cooper Co., MO which became Cole Co., Missouri. This Enoch Job I can place in my records.
I'm trying to find out how these 3 Jobe girls are all related to each other and what became of the two girls who married Coles and if the two Coles who married the two Jobe girls were related to each other!! Thanks for any help!

Hello,
I have three Barnet Coles in my line and have quite a bit of information.
However none matches the other names and dates you show in your note. I
still think there is a relationship here, probably. I imagine from the first
two COLE brothers I have. My line comes from Barnet Cole 1750 with two sons,
William (Wilhelm) 1775-1858), from whom I am descended, and Tonas (Thomas)
about whom I have no information but that he was born in 1773.
Can anyone else here help us out with information about these early COLEs?
All of my Barnet Cole descendants are in PA to Ohio.

Hi fellow researchers,
I am looking for info on Lois P. Cole Selvage. Lois may have been born
Louise or Louisa. She was born in KY, place unknown. She was married in
Morgan County Ky to Isaac Selvage December 22, 1840. She would have been
about 14 at the time. There are no parents given on the marriage record.
The unusual thing about the marriage record is this. It has her name as
Louis Collins Cole. The Collins is marked through. Why would the
register think her name was Collins and not Cole? And why were there no
parents consent shown?
I have tried to fit her into the family of Isabella Cole in Floyd/Morgan
County but she doesn't seem to fit.
By 1860 the Selvages were living in Johnson Co. KY., where she died
between 1900 and 1910.
I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
Thanks,

Hello
I am seeking information on the Caves, Hatfield, Owsley, Whitley, Cole
and Halls that are related with relatives in St. Clair County Missouri in the
1800's.

Women with Cole Maiden Names
I am having a great deal of difficulty in tracing the following women who were children of Philip and Mary Cole of Windsor and Williamstown, Massachusetts. (All birthdates are confirmed in Williamstown Vital Records to 1850.)
Lucy Cole - born Nov 7, 1776 in Gageborough (Windsor)
Philenda Cole - born Oct 12, 1778 also in Gageborough
Mary Cole - born Apr 30, 1781 in Windsor
Anna Cole - born July 15, 1783 in Windsor
Olive Cole - born Oct 18, 1785 in Williamstown
Philenda reportedly married Luther Stevens in Wells, Rutland County, Vermont in 1795 but this has not been confirmed. I have no information on the other four girls. Philip and Mary had one son who survived in to adulthood and that was my g-g-g-grandfather, Ezra Cole, born July 14, 1790 in Williamstown.
Philip & Mary moved from Williamstown to Wells, Vermont in 1793 and remained there until 1796 when they relocated to Litchfield, Herkimer County, New York.
They moved from Litchfield to LeRay, Jefferson County, New York in 1804.
It is possible that Lucy, the oldest, may have remained in Williamstown but the other four would likely have remained with the parents until they were old enough to marry. I am thinking that the three youngest girls would have been married in Herkimer County.
How does one go about searching marriage records in New York State if the husband's name is unknown? Would these records be kept at the Town level or at the State level back in those days (ie: circa 1800)?
Good morning to all. Since this list has been kinda quite, thought I'd send this question out!
Looking for any info on the following family:

Laura; b. 13 Dec 1896; married George Ferdinand Yelton; b. 2 Dec 1879

That's it for now. Hope to hear from someone that connects.

Would be especially interested in pairs....Mragaret and Joseph in the same
