I am looking for information on John Cole s/o Richard Cole and Lydia
Hansford Hill of VA. My sources say that he died in Union County, SC. Does
anyone know this is true and if so, who did he marry and did they have
children. I show he married Mary, but Mary who?
Looking for information on this person who was my g-g-g-g-grandfather. Would love to know his parents' names, where and when he was born, and his wife, Mary's maiden name and background.
Philip and Mary raised seven children, Lucy, Philenda, Mary, Anna, Olive, Philip, and my g-g-g-grandfather, Ezra. The children were born between 1776 and 1790, all in Gageborough, Windsor & Williamstown, Berkshire County, MA (all info verified from Williamstown Vital Records to 1850).
Please visit our family website at:
http://genealogy.com/genealogy/users/c/o/l/Randy-Cole/index.html
Would love to hear from you if we're connected.
P.S. other than info on Ezra, the only other lead I have on any of his siblings is that Philenda may have married a Luther Stevens in Wells, Rutland County, Vermont in 1795 and they later moved to Lewis County, New York.
I am searching for any info. on my Grandmother. Elizabeth was born 02-14-1855,I have no idea where but have been told around Steigler, Ok. She died in 1936 in Wellington,Tx..
She married George Washington Childress 02-10-1890.She had a sister Lora, that married John Hart. I was told her father was George Franklin Cole but the dates I have do not match!
ANY HELP would be appreciated. They were married in Red River County, Texas.
Looking for COLEs with Dutch / Holland roots and immigrated to New Jersey
(especially before 1865). Thought I'd post this on a hunch of finding
connections through gateway country.

I'm researching my Cole family line (mother's side) and found that many of
them lived in Cayuga County, New York. They were JOB COLE and MARY MARTIN
and his descendents, BENJAMIN COLE(father and grandfather of JOB), HUGH COLE
and JAMES COLE(JOB's GGrandfather and GGGrandfather). I just looked up the
counties of New York to see where Cayuga County is and there does not appear
to be one on the map. Does anyone know if Rensselaer County is Cayuga
County? Some of the people such as ESTHER ATWOOD was born in Rensselaer
County.
Any information about Cayuga County would be much appreciated. Also, any
information about these family members would be very helpful. Thank you.

I'm searching for THOMAS M. COLE born around 1810 in Vermont. I was able
to obtain this info through a census. He was married to a woman named Laura
who was also born in Vermont around 1815.
They had at least one son named FRANCIS M (perhaps for Marian) COLE. He
was born either 14 Mar 1839 or April 27, 1835 in Oxford, Maine or Lowell,
Mass. (Pension records and Milford history book say two different things)
I've sent letters off to both places, but to no avail. It appears that
records in Oxford have been lost or burnt in fires. Even without this
info, I know a great deal about FRANCIS M. COLE, his wife Betsey Aham and
the children. I have even visited his gravesite in Milford, NH and have
obtained his pension records from the Civil War.
I am looking for any advice on how I might find out about his mom and dad
and any other siplings. I know there are a zillion Coles in this area, and
have been searching and searching to find THOMAS COLE, married to an Laura,
with a child Francis M. Any helpful leads appreciated.

I've added four NC State grants to a William Cole here...this is where
William Temple Cole and a Job Cole is located as well, NC that is...I saw
some deeds to them in this group...I'm not sure they are the same William
Cole or not...at any rate...I'm not a Cole researcher but the name Cole has
been confused in some instances with Coats or Cotes so I check the Cole
documents as well...
At any rate...if anyone is laying claim to this William Cole...would you let
me know...I don't want to confuse things further...<g>...
This is a very large file i.e. about 7MB...you may have to download it to
your hard drive unless you have a superfast net connection...

Vickie,
William Cole of the Laurens Dist, SC, b. 1776, married Martha Mitchell
on March 11, 1802. Marha was the widow of Harris or Harrison Mitchell and
mother of Harris Mitchell. William and Martha moved to Alabama in the
early 1800s. Harris Mitchells parents were John Mitchell and Mary ?
Pinson? William and Martha had a son named John and one of the
grandchildren were named John Mitchell Cole. Could this be your line? I do
know some of this family went on to Arkansas and maybe OK. I have more
info on these Coles if you think they may be your line.
