to NY from Salt Lake, Utah next week and I am hoping to have a bit more
information for her. Anything at all is greatly appreciated :)

Hannah was born in OH on Feb 19, 1866. She moved to Nebraska when she

second family of settlers that moved there. She died Feb 19, 1949 in

Goodland, KS. (they lived there for a short time) They had 11 children.

him again.... Roger BOBBITT m. Helen... Their 4th child was Marilyn.
She moved to Montana when she married.
Hiram, George and Barney COLE moved to a farm by Broken Arrow, OK. I

Do you know the name of
Joseph's father? James Edward Cole was from Illinois and maybe he named James
Riley after someone there.

Dear Stephanie,
It surely seems we should have an OWEN / COLE connection there
somewhere, but I don't know where it is. I'll keep your info on file in
case I come across something. I haven't found my COLEs or OWENs in PA
and haven't found a David COLE in my line, tho. Thanks for writing,
Stephanie.
Good luck, Mary Kay COLE Ward, Richmond, VA

Sue:
First let me send my condolences for your Granma Glennie Bea COLE.
You mentioned in your message that she was part of the Moore Co., NC
COLE's.
I am researching George W. COLE who was born 2/3/1838 in Moore Co., NC.
He died 6/29/1921 in Webster Co., GA married Susan Clark Spann 5.7.1861
in Webster Co., GA.
His mother was Rachel ?? born abt. 1813 and his siblings were'
John A. b 1829
Telitha b 1832
James M. b 1833
William B. b 1834
Benjamin b 1837
Richard b 1841
All of these children were apparently born in Moore Co., NC but
this is not as yet verified.
George W. and his brother James went to Webster Co., GA
between 1850 and 1869 as they were both listed in the Webster Co.,
GA census of 1860 and the 1850 census of Moore Co., NC.
George W. served with the CSA Webster Co. Invincibles during
the War between the states.
I am trying to find out who his father was and anything else that
is pertinent.

The Cole Bin is a little darker now. My Granma, Glennie McDONALD (nee
COLE) passed away this past Saturday morning, 26 June 1999. POD is
Hickory, Catawba County, NC.
Born 30 October 1901, Granma was the daughter of Joseph Carson COLE
(1877-1964) and Mollie Jane GENES (1883-1963) of Laurinburg, NC. Joseph
Carson COLE is from the COLEs of Moore County, NC. Granma is once again
with Grandaddy, John Hugh McDONALD (1902-1980).
Granma will be sorely missed by all those who loved her. I am
extremely proud to be one of her many descendants she leaves behind,

Hello,
I am a newcomer to the list and trying to track down the lineage of my
paternal grandfather, Evander Baxter COLE. He was born in 1870 in or near
Sanford, NC and died in 1930. He was married to Bertie Clements WICKER
(1881-1927).
I have one undocumented lead that Evander's father was George Calvin COLE
and that his mother's name was Nancy Elizabeth (no surname.)
Many thanks for any help you can give me,

Dear Julia <FamRSearch(a)aol.com>, Re: The Great Migration Begins
from the book: "History and Genealogy of the Mayflower Planters and
First Comers to Ye Olde Colo "
The Samuel FULLER in the following paragraph may be an ancestor
of mine thru my ggggrandmother, Molly KNEELAND:
"i. Daniel born say 1650; at Plymouth court in June 672 "Daniel Cole, son
of
Job Cole, for cursing, fined 10s (PCR 5:94, 8:137) There are several
Daniel
Coles in Eastham including this son of Job and his cousn the son of
Daniel
brother to Job. Both had wives named Mercy, one identied as Mercy
Freeman
daughter of Samuel Freeman and the other as Mercy Fuller daughter of
Samuel
Fullerl which Mary married which Daniel remains to be proven."
I have a copy of a Lineage record which was submitted to prove Mayflower
descendancy from "Little John" FULLER b ca 1656 at Barnstable, Mass,
s/o Samuel FULLER b ca 1602 Eng. d. 31 Oct 1683 Barnstable, Mass,
son of Edward FULLER bapt. 4 Sep 1575 Eng. Edward FULLER and

I dont have any references to Treat family.
What I have on on Job is from the The Great Migration Begins
page 424
Origin: Unkonown
Migration 1635
FIrst Residence Plymouth
Removes Duxburym Yarmouth by 1643, Eastham by 1648
Freeman Proprounded for freeman 5 March 1638/9 and admitted 3 Mar 1739/40
(Records of the Colony of New Plymouth in New England ed Nathaniel B.
Shurtleff and David Pulsifer 12 vol in 10 Boston 1855-1861 afterward PCR,
vol 1 page 117 and 140). In the "1639" list of Plymouth freeman, Job Cole is
entered first in the Duxbury section and then is crossed out and added to the
Yarmouth section of the same list (PCR vol 8 page 175 and 176). He is in the
Eastham section in the lists of Plymouth freeman 1658, 29 May 1670 and
1(blank) (PCR vol 5 page 278; and vol 8 page 202 and 208).
Education: Signs his name as witness to deed (PCR vol 12 page 25)
Offices - [too much to type]
ESTATE: [too much]
Birth By about 1609 based on marriage date
Death after 1683 (PCR vol 8 page 208) and before 29 Dec 1698 (death of widow)
Marriage Plymouth 15 May 1634 Rebecca COllier (PCR 1:30) daughter of William
Collier, baptised at St. Olave's Southwark, Surry on 19 Jan 1614/5; she died
at Eastham 29 Dec 1698 widow of Job Cole age about 88 (Mayflower Descendant
afterward MD vol 6 page 204)
Children:
i. Daniel born say 1650; at Plymouth court in June 672 "Daniel Cole, son of
Job Cole, for cursing, fined 10s (PCR 5:94, 8:137) There are several Daniel
Coles in Eastham including this son of Job and his cousn the son of Daniel
brother to Job. Both had wives named Mercy, one identied as Mercy Freeman
daughter of Samuel Freeman and the other as Mercy Fuller daughter of Samuel
Fullerl which Mary married which Daniel remains to be proven
ii. Rebecca born Eastham 26 August 1654 (PCR 8:15, MD 16:70) married Robert
Nickerson
ASSOCIATIONS: Will of John COle, proved at Plymouth 7 Jan 1637/8 names
brother Job COle, sister Rebecca (possibly Job's wife, Rebecca Collier),
Elizabeth Collier, "each of Master Collier's mem" and "my brother Daniel" (MD
2:209-10). Partly based on this document Stratton suggests that Job Cole may
have been one of "Mr. Collier's men" who appeared in the Plymouth tax list of
25 Mar 1633 (PCR 1:11, Stratton 267). IF this is the case then Job Cole was
probably included in the household of William Collier in the tax list of 27
Mar 1634 (PCR 1:27) less than 2 weeks before Cole marred Collier's daughter
In his will of 16 Nov 1630 Zaccheus Cole of St. Olave, SOuthwark, Surry,
citizen and grocer of Lonon made bequests to his mother Frances, to brothers
Nathaniel, John and Daniel and mage brother Job execurotr (Progressive Court
of Canterbury, Englaand afterwards PCC Scroope 106 as cited in The American
Genealogist vol 42 page 119-20). The location of Zacheus COle in the same
parish as William Collier, Job's father-in-law, makes it likely that this is
the correct family.
COMMENTS: Savage gave Job two additional children, sons John and Job. Daniel,
Job's brother, had a son Johb residing in Eastham who has apparently been
misplaced in the family of Job. There is no indication that there was a Job
in the second generation.
There is not entry for Daniel Cole as there is no proof he was here before
1633 the cut off of the first three volumnes.
There is an excellent entry on William Collier.
