The Nova Scotia Public Archives has placed on online version of Place-Names
and Places of Nova Scotia (C. Bruce Fergusson - 1967) on their website. This
publication has over 2400 communities included and has details (settlement,
first churches, schools, etc.) on each Nova Scotia community listed. The
online version is searchable by community or county.
There is also a link to a map showing county divisions as well as when the
county was created and if were originally part of any other county.
