James was born in 1838 and supposedly died in 1842. He was the son of Daniel Coldwell and Mary Amelia Lovelace.
I am trying to gather more info about James Granderson Coldwell, in order to determine if he was in fact, James Milledge Schofield, who was adopted by the John Henry Schofield family, also of Gaspereau.
James Milledge was born in 1838 and placed with the Schofield family. After his parents came back for him, he chose to stay with the Schofields. I am fairly certain that his birth Mother was a Lovelace/Loveless. Supposedly, his birth Father was a Johnston but I am looking into other avenues.
Does anyone have additional info on Daniel and Mary Coldwell? They had Hannah Lavinia in 1830, Marshall Reuben in 1833, Bessina in 1835, Eunice Lucinda in 1840, Michael Harris in 1842, Sarah Ann, in 1845, Daniel Thaddeus in 1847 and Eliza Janes in 1854.

I wanted to have a posting here too, so when other researchers are looking for these Coldwells, they will also contact me. My husband's Grandfather, Richard Ferguson Dixon Coldwell was from Wolfville and part of the large family of Ernest and Estella (Ella Regan) Coldwell.

Unless Jacob was out to sea, he's not on the 1901 census for Kings County with his wife and children. Neither is their son, Charles. Wife is listed as head of the household.
He had 4 siblings: Rosannah, Jonathan, David and Rachel.

I think all of these towns are in Kings County, and none would be too distant from Wolfville.
My husband comes from Coldwells of Wolfville. Please email me at (laurene777(a)yahoo.com) without the brackets.
