Looking for anyone with information on Robert and Margaret Coldwell that lived in Carlton Ward in York County, New Brunswick, Canada in the 1850's and 60"s. They had 9 children. A son David moved his family to the U.S. between 1884-1888 and changed the spelling of the name to Colwell.Robert went to Canada in 1829 from Ireland and Margaret went from Ireland in 1830.
Thanks for any help,as I am at a loss to find any information on the family.

Hi Cuz!
What a hoot! How are you?? It must be ages since we last met, I've grown up since then! So you are also interested in the family... I've started the search on all 4 sides. Did you know Grama's mother, Patience Ida Bassett's family line goes back to the Vikings; a famous one at that and from there goes back to a Finnish King, year 275 A.D. Pretty amazing although the way people behaved back then, paternity can be questionable. I'll write a longer letter soon. What fun to make contact. Take care, Martha
I would love a copy of the book you mentioned on the Coldwell family tree. As I don't know what it looks like nor it's size, but would it be possible to copy it and if so would you do it. I'd be willing to pay for copying expenses.
