My previous message to c. g. steinhauser related to Frederick D. and Frederick E. Colcord. Unfortunately I have no further information on your Godfather Frederick Brewster Colcord at this time.

Hello Bill. Thanks for the message. I didn't know that Tim
had died. Although I hadn't met him, he had been very friend-ly, and helpful.
It was my godfather, who was I was interested in the history
on. He was Frederick Brewster Colcord, most recently of
Fairhaven, MA.

Excuse me for interceding but Tim passed away earlier this Spring. I'm not aware if anyone is reading his mail. Although I did not know Tim personally and do not have access to his records, I have been dabbling in the Colcord lineage for the past 10 years with the objective of linking our current generation with the 1907 "Colcord Genealogy" book by Doane B. Colcord. All I've had time for, or have accomplished, to this point is to establish a database with 3,300+ individuals and collect a few stacks of unassimilated information.
I do show Sylvia Prudentia Colcord, b. 10 Jun 1888. Her father, Edward Clark Colcord lived in Williamsport, PA in 1889 so it is assumed this is "Prue" you are seeking. Her mothers name was Sylvia Prudentia Bowman. He was a politician and was in the lumber and coal business.

Bill Colcord

I show Frederick Dean Colcord, b. ca 1853 in Stockton Springs, ME, d. 27 Oct 1913 in New York, NY, lived in Boston and New York (1899). Was a shipbuilder and clothier. Married Ann Elizabeth English. Had children Frederick English Colcord, Helen Paulina Colcord (b. 31 Aug 1887), Alan Husted Colcord (b. 30 Aug 1889), and Cecil Colcord (b. 22 Feb 1894). Also in real estate in Brooklyn, clothing at 48 South N.Y. (Brooklyn, NY Directory, 1888-1890). L. at 348 1st, Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn, NY Directory, 1888-1890).
The only additional info I have on Frederick English Colcord is a second potential birth date of 22 Aug 1885 as reflected in Tim's book "Colcord's of Waldo Co. ME (1968)", and that he died 23 Sep 1946 in New York.
