Hello,
trying to trace the Colclough family from West Bromwich and originally Birmingham (Handsworth) areas. My grandmother Gloria Constance Colclough married my Grandfather Joseph Nock in 1939 and lived in Jesson St (No11) West Bromwich. She was later widowed (1943) as my Grandfather died of Rheumatic Fever after catching a chill fire watching during the war. She later re-married William Perrett and moved to Alfred St West Brom with her son Joseph.
Originally her family were from Birmingham (so I believe).. her parents were Charles John Frederick Colclough and Georgina Blanche Bradley... Charles had a brother called Lawson who emigrated to Canada on a 'White Star' Liner approx 1910..
Hope to hear from someone soon !
Regards
Simon Paul Nock

Hi Judie,
This is along shot but my Grandmothers maiden name is Colclough.... Her Uncle Lawson Colclough emigrated to Canada in the early 1900's... My Great Grandmother and her youngest daughters were called for by him to move over there for a better life... the story goes that their voyage would have been on the Titanic, lucky for them they missed it by an hour....
Do you have any connections with a Lawson Colclough because I know that he or possibly his family lived in Banff... My dad visited Calgary in 1982 because we were going to emigrate - unfortunately he did'nt know until later on that his Great Uncle was out there...
Hope to hear from you soon
