Ron and all,
I received my copy of the Henniker Historian March 2017 Newsletter today and
there is a brief write up about Charles Colby, Jr. shooting a man in
self-defense involving a love triangle.
There was no source for the write-up but after a Google search I found a
newspaper story which confirms the incident.
Colby turned himself in to the local Hopkinton, NH authorities and was
released without charges after four days in jail.

I don't know who Charles Colby, Jr is however.
Maybe some can find out.
The yearly membership is only $5 dollars and the newsletter are well worth
it.
