OK! I just published the update to the descendants of Anthony & Susannah
on the Colby Family Association website! It should be viewable in a few
days.
I will be shutting down the computers here Thursday evening and will be
setting up in our new home in Nampa, ID as soon as I can! I will need to
subscribe to some service - but they are VERY expensive there! And I don't
know how long before they grab my credit card before they actually get me
on line. SO! I will just have email on my cell phone for awhile. If you
need me - be patient!

My proof reader ain't no good. This should read:
Merrill Colby and Elizabeth are living in Plainfield during this time frame
and it would seem more logical that Hannah b. 7 Feb 1794 Plainfield is their
daughter not
Hannah b. 10 Jan 1791 Amesbury
Hannah Colby b. 10 Jan 1791 Amesbury d/o Elizabeth Colby. No father is
given in vital records. How do you know the father of this Hannah is
Merrill Colby.
This Hannah Colby m. Moses Merrill. This Hannah Colby was born 15 days
before Merrill Colby and Elizabeth Colby who were married 25 Jan 1791 in
South Hampton, NH.
Hannah Colby b. 7 Feb 1794 Plainfield d. 17 Mar 1856 m Dimmick Baker. How
do you know this isn't the daughter of Merrill Colby and Elizabeth?
Merrill Colby and Elizabeth are the only Colby's in Plainfield in the 1790's
so it would make more sense that Hannah Colby b. 1794 is their daughter.
And NO, Hannah Colby who married Dimmick Baker is NOT the daughter of Jacob
Sargent Colby

Something is confused, here!
Is Hannah Colby b. 10 Jan 1791 d/o Elizabeth Colby who married Moses Merrill
the daughter of Elizabeth Colby who married Merrill Colby or is Elizabeth
Colby b. 7 Feb 1794 Plainfield, NH?
Hannah Colby born 10 Jan 1791 is the daughter of Merrill Colby born 16 Feb
1767 & Elizabeth Colby born 17 Aug 1768. This Hannah married Moses
Morrill and they had only sons - no daughters.
Elizabeth Colby b. 7 Feb 1794 Plainfield, NH married Dimmick Baker.
It was not *Elizabeth* Colby who married Dimmik Baker but *Hannah* Colby.
She is the daughter of Jacob Sargent Colby & Phoebe Putney born 9 October
1794 in Dunbarton, Merrimack New Hampshire.

Merrill Colby and Elizabeth are living in Plainfield during this time frame
and it would seem more logical that Elizabeth b. 1794 is their daughter not
Elizabeth b. 1791
Merrill Colby & Elizabeth Colby did not have a daughter named Elizabeth.
Their daughters are Hannah, Rebecca and Catherine

Who is this Hannah Colby?
I thought she might be daughter of Merrill and Elizabeth Colby. They had 4
daughters and all are accounted for, so that rules them out.

The Colby Family Association website www.colby-family-association.org
website was just updated with the September 2014 Newsletter added and a
great picture from the Reunion at the Macy-Colby House in Amesbury and the
descendants of Anthony & Susannah Colby. Several "orphans" have been
connected to the family! That is SO GOOD!! Anyone working on their lines
to get them connected should please contact me. Maybe we can work together
on the problem!
