FREDERICK P. DELAFIELD
2 Sep 1902 - 13 Jul 1951
Frederick Prime Delafield, a trustee of the Seamen's Church Institute, who was formerly associated with several financial institution, died Friday night in his home, 136 East Seventy-ninth Street, after an illness of several months. His age was 48.
Born in New York, he was the son of Mrs. Elsie Barber Delafield and the late Frederick P Delafield. Mr. Delafield was educated at St. Paul's School, Concord, N. H., and at Harvard College, where he was graduated in 1924. He was a member of the Harvard Club here.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Frederick P. 3d and Stephen, and a brother, Charles B. of Syosset, L. I., vice president of Consolidated Edison of New York.
Mr. Delafield's marriage in 1927 to Miss Katherine Sedgwick Colby, daughter of the late Bainbridge Colby, Secretary of State in the administration of President Woodrow Wilson, was terminated by divorce in 1948.

CHARLES ABRAHAM COLBY, eighty-two years old, a note broker of 27 Pine Street, died suddenly at his home at 1,933 Madison Avenue, Thursday night, from indigestion. He was a member of an old New England family and the father of Prof. Charles E. Colby, who held the Chair of Organic Chemistry at Columbia University until his death five years ago. Mr. Colby was born in Salisbury, Mass. He came to this city in 1868.

Lottie K. Colby, 90, a longtime resident of Richmond, died Friday, July 9, 2004.
The widow of Charles Russell Colby, she is survived by her sons, George Colby and his wife, Connie, of Binghamton, N.Y. and David Colby and his wife, Diane, of Woodstock, Ga.; three granddaughters, Karen Aubrecht and her husband, Christian, Kelley Hannam and her husband, Don, Janet Crist and her husband, Rob; two grandsons, Russell Colby and his wife, Meredith, Greg Colby and his wife, Colleen; five great-grandsons, and three great-granddaughters; her brother, Alex Kaczenski and his wife, [Audrey Bunch], of Thousand Palms, Calif.; and her sister, Ann Lord of Portsmouth, N.H.
Mrs. Colby was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister for many years.
She also volunteered both at Retreat Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital for many years.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., with a Christian Wake at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 300 North Sheppard St., Richmond. Interment Mt. Calvary. Donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1503 Michael Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229.

Norma Colby Brow, 86, of Vermillion, passed away January 19, 2011 in Richfield.
She was born May 22, 1924, in Vermillion, to Edwin LeRoy and Lucy Alvey Colby.
She married Albert Wilbur Brow on January 5, 1946, in Traverse City, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband, Al, Vermillion; children, Carole Brow (James Giannopoulos), CA; Bill Brow, Philippines; Liz (Jim) Knight, Orem; and Jim Brow, NV; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Maureen (Bill) Howell, AZ; brother-in-law, Darwin Anderson, Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, in Central Valley. A celebration of life will held on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, with a viewing starting at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Vermillion Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

Senator Colby's Daughter Dead.
Elizabeth Colby, daughter of State Senator Everett Colby of New Jersey, died yesterday at her father's home in Llewelyn Park, West Orange. She was 2 years old. The little girl had been ill with spinal meningitis for about a week, and her death had been expected for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Colby have another daughter, Edith, Born only a few weeks ago.
