Ruth Tobey Hampson takes flight July 4th
Our sister, mentor, friend, and colleague in service to Baha'u'llah has
winged her flight to the Abha Kingdom, joining her dear Hamp and the
Concourse on High. On July 4th, at 4am, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she left
this earthly realm for heaven.
When I visited with her the day before, I mentioned it was about time for
lunch, she said to me, "You go to lunch, I'll go to heaven".. and she did.
Please keep her in your prayers as she continues her service from the next
world.
Much love to all those that so loved her as I did. On that last morning
visit, she asked me to give her love to the Baha'is.
Ruth is the daughter of Susan Lucretia Colby and Fred Charles Tobey. They
are the ones who established Lucknow as their summer home. Lucknow has been
renamed Castle in the Clouds and is near where the reunion will be next
year. As far as I know, only Elizabeth of the 7 children is still living -
although she was born in 1916!!!
